Coca-Cola 600 Preview

- The drivers of the Sprint Cup Series will return from their All-Star break on Sunday, May 26 as they compete in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Matt Kenseth picked up the win at Darlington Raceway last time out, holding off Denny Hamlin to take the checkered flag in the Bojangles' Southern 500.

Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, and Kevin Harvick followed Kenseth and Hamlin across the finish line at Darlington, with Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Juan Montoya, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Ryan Newman making up the rest of the Top 10.

Johnson has a 44-point lead on Edwards in the updated Sprint Cup Series driver standings, with Kenseth 59 points back of the leader in third place after the first 11 races.

Kasey Kahne won the Coca-Cola 600 last year, beating Hamlin across the finish line to take the checkered flag at that event. Busch, Greg Biffle, Brad Keselowski, Earnhardt Jr., Gordon, Harvick, Edwards, and Kenseth made up the rest of the Top 10, while Johnson ended up 11th.

After racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway the drivers of the Sprint Cup Series will move on to Dover for the FedEx 400 on June 2. The other races on the June calendar for NASCAR will take place at Pocono, Michigan, Sonoma, and Kentucky.
