NFL Betting: Top Five Games On The NFL Schedule For Week 1

This has been one of the most confusing offseasons in the history of the NFL. To make it even weirder, there will be no preseason games for new players to get situated with their new teams and rookies may struggle to get playing time. However, this can make some games very interesting, so let’s take a look at some of the top matchups during Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season.

Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens

Odds: Ravens -7.5

The Cleveland Browns are coming off of a very disappointing season and look to get out to a hot start against a team that had the best record in the NFL a season ago. They will need Baker Mayfield to play at superstar level against an above average Ravens defense. He will have to outperform the reigning MVP of the league in Lamar Jackson if they want a chance to win this divisional matchup.

Seattle Seahawks @ Atlanta Falcons

Odds: Seahawks -2.5

This will be the first game for Todd Gurley with his new team, the Atlanta Falcons. He will add yet another dimension to an already scary offense that includes Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley and Matt Ryan. But Gurley isn’t the only one with a new team, as the Seahawks will get to see star safety Jamal Adams in this matchup. He was recently acquired from the Jets in a trade and is looking to show out for his new team.

Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings

Odds: Vikings -2.5

After a very disappointing offseason, the Packers are looking to get off to a hot start against their division rivals. They needed to help get Aaron Rodgers more weapons on offense but they instead deciding to draft a quarterback in the first round. This move made many people question their commitment to the longtime star quarterback. It will be interesting to see how he performs after getting the impression that he will be out of Green Bay soon. For the Vikings, they just lost one of their star receivers in Stefon Diggs and are hopeful that rookie Justin Jefferson will be able to fill in nicely. This matchup will be a battle from start to finish.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints

Odds: Saints -3.5

After many years of disappointment, the New Orleans Saints have had multiple 10+ win seasons in the past five years. Unfortunately, none of them have resulted in Super Bowls as they have yet to even appear in one since their first Super Bowl victory back in 2009. They are yet again coming in with a loaded team that is lead by future hall of famer Drew Brees. Although, this matchup between division rivals won’t be the same this Sunday. As the Buccaneers have signed arguably the greatest quarterback of all time in Tom Brady, along with his longtime friend and teammate Rob Gronkowski. If they are able to resemble a little bit of their old selves with their new team then this could be a very deadly group. Watch out for an explosive offensive battle.

Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers

Odds: 49ers -7

The 49ers are coming off of a loss in the Super Bowl and are primed to make another run at it this year. They were able to keep Raheem Mostert but unfortunately lost Emmanuel Sanders in free agency. However, they were great due to their defense and their run game, they should still remain toward the top of the league in those areas as they work on defeating their division rivals in Week 1.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals were able to acquire star receiver DeAndre Hopkins in a trade for David Johnson. They now will give Kyler Murray another dangerous option in the passing game opposite of Larry Fitzgerald. They also held onto Kenyan Drake after his explosive few games last season and should take their rushing game to the next level. Overall, this will be an important game to see how Hopkins fits into the offense and also to see how Drake builds off of a few great games last season.
