SEC Foes Georgia, Alabama Meet in Biggest College Game of Season

It’s a clash of two powerhouse programs and a chance for one of these schools to make a major
statement not only in the SEC but on the national stage. No. 2 Georgia, visiting No. 3 Alabama
in a matchup of two undefeated teams. Let’s take a deep dive into what could happen in
Tuscaloosa.
How Alabama Wins
Kalen DeBoer gets his first taste of one of the great rivalries in college sports and his team has
been flying, scoring 42 or more points in all three games. Alabama has been dominant out
gaining Wisconsin 407-290 yards two weeks ago on its way to a 42-10 win. Defensively, the
Crimson Tide has surrendered just under 9 points per game, sixth best in the country. But this
will be the best offense they’ve faced all season. If Jalen Milroe, who has completed 67% of his
passes, can find his weapons, Alabama can pull off the win.
How Georgia Wins
There is some caution for those who like Georgia after the Bulldogs struggled to get past
Kentucky, 13-12. But remember, they opened the campaign dismantling Clemson, 34-3. It’ll
come down to the play of Carson Beck who’s off to a solid start. He has some help in the
backfield as Travis Etienne should figure more into the offense. Etienne has 157 yards in two
games but hasn’t found the end zone yet. Georgia’s defense is elite, allowing an average of just
6 points a game, and hasn’t given up a TD all season. If defensive end Mykel Williams and
safety Malaki Starks shutdown the Tide receivers, Georgia should roll.
Best Bet: Over 48.5
When two of the best quarterbacks take center stage, you’d have to think points will be scored
in this one. Carson Beck, the favorite to be the first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, taking on Jalen
Milroe. Beck has 7 TD’s this season but didn’t throw for one against Kentucky. His Bulldogs
have some game breakers including Trevor Etienne, who could also be looking to make a
statement. On the other side of the ball, WR Ryan Williams is the deep threat teams worry
about. He has 3 receptions of over 43 yards or more, including an 84-yard reception in Week 1.
With two pivots who can generate explosive offenses we should see points in this.
Best Player Prop Plays
Alabama, WR Ryan Willams: Anytime TD (+175)
Ryan Williams is a game breaker. He has scored a touchdown in all three games this season,
and if he can get by the secondary, Milroe will definitely be looking for his receiver. At this price,
you have to take advantage of it, especially if you assume there will be lots of points scored.
Georgia, WR Colbie Young: Anytime TD (+300)
Colbie Young has just 5 catches in 3 games, but has two touchdowns. That’s a pretty good
scoring efficiency rate. Young has shown he is capable of being a red zone target and his 6 ‘3
frame gives him the ability to get any jump balls up for grabs. And at +300, why the heck not.
