MICHIGAN DISAPPOINTS AGAIN
How many future bets have people lost on Michigan winning a National Championship in the past five years? With all the hype that the Wolverines produced when Jim Harbaugh was hired as head coach, it probably was quite a few. Before Harbaugh can win a title with Michigan, he’ll have to win the Big Ten East division first, something the Wolverines haven’t done in Harbaugh’s first five seasons in Ann Arbor. After Michigan’s blowout loss to Ohio State Saturday, it’s not unreasonable to wonder if Harbaugh will ever lead Michigan to a National Championship. NEBRASKA’S HYPE FALLS FLAT
There is another Big Ten school that failed to meet recent expectations: Nebraska. When alumnus Scott Frost was hired as head coach before the 2018 season most expected better than nine wins in two seasons and no bowl games. But that is exactly what happened. Now that the College Football season is coming to a close, and plenty of coaching jobs are opening up, there will be plenty of rumors flying around about potential hires.
