2022 League of Legends LCS Summer Split Week 7 Preview
This is the penultimate week of the LCS Summer Split, but the playoff picture largely seems to be set. Sixth place FlyQuest is three games ahead of Golden Guardians and Team SoloMid for the last playoff spot with five games left in the regular season. TSM and the Golden Guardians need to run the table and get a lot of help to finish sixth, and a single loss will probably knock them out of postseason contention.
2022 League of Legends LCS Summer Split Week 7 Betting Odds at BetOnline
Team SoloMid -141
Dignitas +106
If TSM are going to make a miracle run to the playoffs, they need to make sure they don’t stumble against 2-11 Dignitas. Their opponents have lost six straight games, but Dignitas were able to knock off TSM earlier this season.
This isn’t the same Dignitas team we saw earlier in the year though. They are now playing new players like top laner Hoon, jungler eXyu, and bottom laner Spawn, so TSM should be able to pick up the victory.
Cloud9 -125
100 Thieves -106
After a rough start to the season, Cloud9 have shown they are a real challenger in the LCS. C9 have won four straight matches and eight of their last ten matches. Fudge has been superb in the top lane, and Blaber is once again a difference maker in the jungle.
The only team with a longer winning streak is 100 Thieves who have won five straight games. 100T punched their playoff ticket last week and are now 10-3 on the season. They fell to C9 earlier this season, so they are underdogs despite being two games ahead of C9 in the standings. While 100T lost the earlier matchup, it’s too good to pass up this opportunity to back them.
Team Liquid +127
Evil Geniuses -169
There’s a good chance that this is the most interesting match of the week. Evil Geniuses are the best team in the LCS with an 11-2 record, and Team Liquid were the favorites to win the LCS before the season started. Liquid have been disappointing, but they have a lot of talent and could turn it on at any time. The LCS will be playing on a new patch this week, so that gives Liquid a little extra edge given their team roster.
Golden Guardians -128
Immortals -104
Golden Guardians have now lost four straight games. They tried to mix things up last week with the acquisition of River, but he did not perform well in his two games. Stixxay has only been solid on powerful AD Carries like Zeri and Aphelios, so Immortals have a good chance of putting them out of their misery. PowerOfEvil is strong in the mid lane, dealing 33.9% of his team’s damage, and he will be the most talented player in this match.
Counter Logic Gaming -110
FlyQuest -120
Mid laner Toucouille has been fantastic for FlyQuest this year. Toucouille is one of the best mid laners in the LCS, and he is in line for a big contract next year. FlyQuest lost both of their games last week, but defeats at the hands of Evil Geniuses and C9 were expected. Counter Logic Gaming are 2-5 against teams with winning records this year, as this team isn’t that talented, so FlyQuest are the team to back in the finale on Sunday.
