UFC 270: Ngannou vs. Gane Parlay

The first UFC PPV of 2022 is going to be a doozy. The two best heavyweights in the UFC will meet in the Octagon when Francis Ngannou looks to defend his UFC Heavyweight Championship against challenger Ciryl Gane in the main event. Although Ngannou is the reigning champion, he is an underdog to the unbeaten Gane. Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo will also square off for the third time in a little more than a year to determine the best flyweight fighter in the UFC.

UFC 270 will take place on Saturday, January 22, 2022, from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The preliminaries will get underway at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and ESPN Plus, while the main card kicks off at 10 p.m. ET on PPV through ESPN Plus.

UFC 270: Ngannou vs. Gane Picks

Francis Ngannou +132 vs. Ciryl Gane

Current UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou has been dominant for the last three years. He took down four of his opponents in 71 seconds or less before challenging Stipe Miocic for the title for the second time at UFC 260, and he scored a second-round knockout to claim the belt. However, there has been a lot of animosity between Ngannou and Dana White because of Ngannou’s contract. That has led to action on Gane as Ngannou would make much more in his next fight if his boxing match with current heavyweight champion Tyson Fury came to fruition. A win would keep him in the UFC for one more year, while he would be free to pursue other ventures with a loss.

Gane is extremely scary in his own right. He is unbeaten in his MMA career at 10-0 with four knockouts, three submission wins, and three unanimous decision victories. During his time in the UFC, he has taken down other top fighters like Tanner Boser, Junior dos Santos, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Alexander Volkov, and Derrick Lewis, and he has shown that he can go the distance. Gane is getting a little too much respect though.

Deiveson Figueiredo +147 vs. Brandon Moreno

We are unlikely to see Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno ever meet again in the Octagon after their trilogy fight this weekend. These two flyweights fought to a draw in their first showdown at UFC 256, but Moreno submitted Figueiredo by rear-naked choke at UFC 263 to earn the UFC Flyweight Championship. Figueiredo will be hungry to show that their last meeting was an aberration, and this is a good price on him.

Michel Pereira -270 vs. Andre Fialho

This will be the UFC debut of Andre Fialho. He is 14-3 overall in his MMA career, and he has won four straight fights entering this bout. All of those wins came by knockout, so there are questions about both his ability to go the distance and his ground game. That gives UFC veteran Michel Pereira a significant advantage. Pereira is a well-rounded fighter that has shown he can perform in all technical phases.
