2021 NFL MVP Odds – Week 10

The GOAT is the new favorite to be named NFL MVP. Tom Brady didn’t play last week as Tampa Bay had its bye, but that led to the Buccaneers avoiding the carnage that was Week 9 for favorites. Brady has been named NFL MVP three times in his career, and he would love to join Peyton Manning as the only other player with four or more MVP awards.

Tom Brady

This Week’s Odds: +200

Last Week’s Odds: +500

Currently, Tom Brady ranks second in the NFL in passing yards. He has thrown for 2,650 yards with 25 touchdowns and five interceptions. Brady is on pace to throw for over 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns, and it will be tough to beat him if he eclipses those milestones.

Josh Allen

This Week’s Odds: +350

Last Week’s Odds: +225

I pointed out that it was wise to avoid Josh Allen as the overall favorite last week, and it’s still best to hold off on betting Allen to win NFL MVP. He did not play well in Buffalo’s very disappointing loss to Jacksonville, and the Bills have a losing record against teams with winning records. Allen could post nice numbers against the New York Jets this week, but the Bills are about to play a tough stretch of opponents.

Kyler Murray

This Week’s Odds: +650

Last Week’s Odds: +600

Arizona has the best record in the NFL, but the odds on Murray to win MVP have continued to creep up in recent weeks. Murray has been dealing with an injury that has him listed as questionable this week, and he might not have top receivers DeAndre Hopkins and Rondale Moore either.

Matthew Stafford

This Week’s Odds: +900

Last Week’s Odds: +525

Now is the time to jump on Matt Stafford. He laid an egg on Sunday Night Football last week with a poor performance against Tennessee, but Stafford leads the NFL with 2,771 passing yards. Robert Woods suffered a season-ending ACL injury, yet Odell Beckham Jr. was signed by the Rams this week, so this offense still has three solid receivers led by Cooper Kupp.

Dak Prescott

This Week’s Odds: +1200

Last Week’s Odds: +700

We’ve seen Dak Prescott’s odds take a substantial hit in recent weeks. Prescott was once seen as a real threat to be named NFL MVP, but he ranks 17th in passing yards after last week’s terrible outing against the Denver Broncos. His receivers are banged up, yet Prescott should light up a bad Atlanta secondary this weekend. The Falcons are allowing 27.5 PPG and rank 31st in third down conversion percentage.

Justin Herbert

This Week’s Odds: +1200

Last Week’s Odds: +1800

Reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Justin Herbert is having a fine season with the Chargers. Herbert has thrown for 2,350 yards with 18 touchdowns and six interceptions. The Chargers don’t play any great defenses over the second half of the season, so we could see Herbert thrive over the next two months.
