2021 NFL MVP Odds – Week 12

If you bet Tom Brady to win his fourth NFL MVP a few weeks ago, good for you. Brady’s odds have dropped to the point that he is now the favorite according to the oddsmakers. He was fantastic against the New York Giants in a comfortable win on Monday night, and a win over the Indianapolis Colts this week could set the narrative into overdrive.

Tom Brady

This Week’s Odds: +250

Last Week’s Odds: +200

Tom Brady will likely lead the NFL in passing yards after this week. Brady has thrown five interceptions in his last three games, but the majority of those have been the result of bad luck instead of poor decisions from the GOAT. He is on pace to throw for over 5,000 yards and could hit 50 touchdowns with a spot of good fortune, and the Buccaneers should be favored in each of their remaining games.

Josh Allen

This Week’s Odds: +600

Last Week’s Odds: +350

The former frontrunner has now laid an egg in two of the last three weeks. Josh Allen never should have been the favorite though, as Buffalo’s defense has led the way for the Bills in 2021. Allen has thrown five interceptions in the last five games, and he is averaging 6.0 YPA or less in three of the last four games.

Matthew Stafford

This Week’s Odds: +1000

Last Week’s Odds: +900

His last two games haven’t been great, but Matthew Stafford ranks third in the NFL in passer rating. Stafford has the league’s best receiver in Cooper Kupp and one of the greatest offensive minds in Sean McVay, and he could push himself to the forefront of the NFL MVP race once more with a strong showing against the Green Bay Packers this week. The Packers might be without their top two cornerbacks this week, and Kirk Cousins torched this secondary last Sunday.

Dak Prescott

This Week’s Odds: +1000

Last Week’s Odds: +1200

Dak Prescott was expected to shine against Kansas City last week, but the Cowboys failed to score a touchdown in a 19-9 loss. Prescott threw two interceptions in his worst performance of the season, and he was sacked five times. He will have center stage against the Las Vegas Raiders on Thanksgiving, but Dallas might be without a lot of its best players on offense.

Justin Herbert

This Week’s Odds: +1000

Last Week’s Odds: +1200

We have seen Justin Herbert’s odds slowly fall over the course of the last several weeks. Herbert leads the NFL in fourth quarter comeback wins, and he was superb in the Los Angeles Chargers’ win over Pittsburgh on Sunday Night Football. He has thrown for almost 3,000 yards, and he ranks second in the NFL in QBR.

Aaron Rodgers

This Week’s Odds: +1000

Last Week’s Odds: +1200

The Green Bay Packers are one of the NFL’s best teams. However, Aaron Rodgers won the 2020 NFL MVP, and he would need to have a special season to repeat. Rodgers has put up good numbers, but they haven’t been truly special. He would need several memorable performances down the stretch in order to actually win the award.
