While Travis Kelce might have hung his hat on the NFL world not believing the Kansas City Chiefs could win the Super Bowl in the 2022-23 season, the oddsmakers begged to differ. Kansas City was a favorite all season and, from out here, no one was surprised to see them hoist their second Vince Lombardi under Andy Reid.
They start out 2023-24 as the favorites for everything, across the board.

Kansas City Chiefs 2023 Odds
2023 AFC Championship Odds: +400
Team Wins: Over 11.5 (-130), Under 11.5 (+100)
Make no mistake, the Chiefs are capable of winning every single game on their schedule. It’s why they’re the favorites to win the Super Bowl, their third under Andy Reid and second straight, and win the AFC Championship, their fourth in five seasons. We know they won’t go 17-0, as going undefeated in the NFL is probably the most difficult task in all of sports.
Their schedule is stacked, with the Detroit Lions to open the season followed by the 2022 AFC South Champion Jacksonville Jaguars. Kansas City will be favored in every game, at least as the season begins and no one gets injured, so perusing their 2023 plans, it’s probably easier to pick potential losses than wins. They could split with the Los Angeles Chargers and possibly an improved Denver Broncos team. Even if Russell Wilson doesn’t bounce all the way back, Sean Payton will have them ready to play.
The fact that’s working most in KC’s favor is all their toughest non-division games, the Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, a rematch with the Philadelphia Eagles, are all at Arrowhead. Their toughest non-division road games come early, with the New York Jets showing up on the schedule on Oct. 1 and the Minnesota Vikings on Oct. 8.
2023-23 Win Prediction: 12-5
