In case you missed this show before when he was the head coach of the Denver Broncos, Josh McDaniels, fresh from his offensive coordinator spot with the New England Patriots, immediately showed up to the Las Vegas Raiders team facility, alienated his starting quarterback and rode his team right into the dirt.
A squad that finished with a winning record and made the postseason a year before under interim head coach Rich Bisaccia, won a total of six games and suffered two of the most embarrassing losses of the season (Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Rams), if not all time. It is the Josh McDaniels way.

Las Vegas Raiders 2023 Odds
2023 AFC Championship Odds: +5000
Team Wins: Over 6.5 (+110), Under 6.5 (-140)
Is Josh McDaniels the worst head coach in the NFL or just the worst head coach in the AFC? In 18 weeks or so, we’ll know for sure. Last season, McDaniels inherited not only a playoff team, but a team that nearly upset the eventual AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card Round. A team that had to win its season finale, as an underdog to the Los Angeles Chargers, to even make into the bracket.
There’s still star talent on this team, on both sides of the ball, in spite of McDaniels shipping out star tight end Darren Waller for a fistful of magic beans. Jimmy Garoppolo is probably a push with Derek Carr if he can stay healthy and Devante Adams should remain atop the league’s Best WRs lists.
2023-23 Win Prediction: 7-10
