2023 LOS ANGELES RAMS WIN PREDICTION

BY ADAM GREENE

“Running it back” didn’t work out so well for the Los Angeles Rams a season ago. Just a few months after hoisting a Vince Lombardi Trophy, the team was on its way to its worst season under head coach Sean McVay. The three best players on the team — Matthew Stafford, Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp, all on injured reserve.

Los Angeles Rams 2023 Odds

2023 Super Bowl Odds: +8000

2023 NFC Championship Odds: +3300

2023 NFC West Odds: +1000

Team Wins: Over 6.5 (+110), Under 6.5 (-120)

The Rams have dubbed this a season of remodeling, not rebuilding. What they’ve actually done is dump cap from players who, in spite of being great at their jobs, were luxuries instead of winning pieces. Look no further than last season’s 5-12 finish to how important Jalen Ramsey and Bobby Wagner were to the overall record. No, the Rams have decided to shed some big contracts from their books, but still try to win some games.

Can they win the Super Bowl like this? Probably not. Can they make the playoffs and even win the NFC West? Absolutely. The problem with most of the Rams’ projections is that they aren’t factoring in the other teams in the NFC. Who are the seven teams better than LA with a healthy Matthew Stafford, Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp (eventually)? I don’t see them. And, at some point, Sean McVay’s coaching prowess will manifest wins as well.

2023-23 Win Prediction: 11-6
