It’s time for our NFL Week 14 dessert and, man, have I picked you out a tasty treat this week. This is one you might want to split into two different parlay bets, because I see five of these upsets already happening.
And, here’s the kicker, if you want to add a ninth team to this mix thanks to Jameis Winston likely making the start for the New Orleans Saints, you can do a third one with the Carolian Panthers at +195 that turns this payout into $41,316.95. All for the price of a pizza and order of crazy bread from Little Ceasars.
Here’s what I done brung you this week;
Jacksonville Jaguars +129
Las Angeles Rams +285
Chicago Bears +155
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +110
Indianapolis Colts +113
Las Vegas Raiders +140
Denver Broncos +128
Philadelphia Eagles +160
If you’ve read my Friday Afternoon Quarterback, Sunday Night Football and both my Monday Night Football previews, then you already know that I’ve picked a few of these upsets. And, if you haven’t read them, go ahead. This article will be here when you get back.
I like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to knock off the Atlanta Falcons to put every single NFC South team back under .500. I think the Colts will stay hot against a Cincinnati Bengals team led by a backup quarterback appearing in his third NFL game. I feel as if the Raiders, at home, will have more than enough in the tank to overtake the visiting Minnesota Vikings playing their own slumping backup QB in Joshua Dobbs. I have predicted the Broncos will end Brandon Staley’s head coaching tenure with the Los Angeles Chargers for good. Lastly, I suspect the Eagles will bounce back from a humiliating loss to the San Francisco 49ers by outlasting the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington.
It’s the other games we have to talk ourselves into, so let’s get on it.
The Jags are currently dogs because Trevor Lawrence is expected to miss their game against the Cleveland Browns. But Lawrence was at practice Thursday and there’s a chance right now that he suits up. And, if he does, the complexion of that game is completely different. Frankly, CJ Beathard isn’t that bad and nearly pulled out an overtime victory last week.
The Rams defeated the Baltimore Ravens the last time they played because Lamar Jackson was out. Jackson was held out of practice Thursday due to an illness and could miss Sunday’s game. Even if he plays, he could be under the weather and not 100 percent.
The line on the Bears and Detroit Lions is low specifically because Detroit’s defense is more prone to laying down than my 15 year-old Yorkie. The last time these two teams played, the Lions had to score 17 points in the fourth quarter to steal a 31-26 victory at Ford Field. Fields has been on a tear and has really developed a good relationship with DJ Moore. One extra defensive stop could be all Chicago needs.
A winning $10 parlay bet on these eight moneylines pays $14.297.20.
