We’ve only got four more cracks at nailing the Crazy NFL Parlay and this week’s slate does not look bad. And the payoff? Well, let’s just say Christmas would be a lot easier with an extra $26 grand under the tree.
Here’s what I’ve artisanally selected for you this week;
Pittsburgh Steelers +108
Denver Broncos +183
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +153
Houston Texans +165
New York Giants +200
New England Patriots +325
Dallas Cowboys +115
Jacksonville Jaguars +148
If you’ve read my Friday Afternoon Quarterback, Saturday NFL Game, Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football picks articles, then you know that I like a few of these “upsets” right out of the gate.
I feel as if the Broncos will go into Ford Field and shock the Detroit Lions on a national stage because that just seems par for the course for Detroit. I like the Texans to roll into Music City, play well against the Tennessee Titans, and roll out with a victory to not only get back into the AFC Wild Card race, but possibly become a factor in the AFC South championship chase. And I think the surging Giants have plenty in the tank to take out a limp and listless New Orleans Saints squad who hasn’t won a significant game in more than a month.
It’s the other contests we have to talk ourselves into, so let’s get at it.
Sure, Steelers backup QB Mitchell Trubisky has struggled in his action this year, but this is a guy that still has a winning record as a starter in the NFL with two playoff berths. You can’t say the same about Gardner Minshew of the Indianapolis Colts.
The Packers are a tough out at home, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a significant advantage at the offensive skill positions, including one of the best wide receivers in the league that no one ever thinks about in Mike Evans. Baker Mayfield could have a huge day against Green Bay’s secondary just by tossing it up to Evans and Chris Godwin.
Bill Belichick has been getting his bags packed for him all season. And while some of his former players now in the media might not believe he’s on his way out with the Patriots, team owner Robert Kraft hasn’t done much to silence that narrative. As such, this could be the Super Genius’ swan song and it would be just like him to put together a season-ending win streak just to screw up the draft positioning of the next New England regime. Add that fact to a slumping Kansas City Chiefs team still whining about the correct offsides call in a loss to the Buffalo Bills last week and you have a recipe for disaster.
The Cowboys have the best offense in football this season and have finally beaten teams with wining records. The Buffalo Bills have just now gotten into the plus side of the win column, but if you can’t see DaRon Bland jumping a Josh Allen pass and taking it to the house in this one, you’ve not watched either team play in 2023.
Lastly, the Jaguars are kind of in a must-win situation as they host the Baltimore Ravens. When these two teams met up last season in Jacksonville, the Jags won 28-27 with an 18-point fourth quarter that eventually propelled them into the playoffs.
A $10 winning parlay bet on these eight moneylines pays $26,819.74.
