CRAZY NFL PARLAY: WEEK 18

BY ADAM GREENE

Well, it’s over and we gave it a good run. Now it’s time to rush out of the Mexican adobe hut, guns blazing, and see if we can make it to our horses and escape.

Here are our final selection of moneylines for the Crazy NFL Parlay;

Baltimore Ravens +155

Indianapolis Colts +105

Atlanta Falcons +144

Los Angeles Rams +175

New York Giants +205

Chicago Bears +128

Arizona Cardinals +135

Miami Dolphins +122

If you’ve read my two Saturday NFL previews, my Sunday Night Football preview and my Friday Afternoon Quarterback picks article, then you know I already like a few of these upsets.

I think the Colts will secure a playoff spot for the first time under rookie head coach Shane Steichen with a victory over the Houston Texans. I feel as if the Rams have the universe behind them to set up an NFC Wild Card round matchup with the Detroit Lions with a win over the San Francisco 49ers. While the Green Bay Packers have owned the Bears for a while, this isn’t the same Packers team and Chicago is much better than they were in Week 1. Lastly, I think the comedic value of a suddenly hot Cardinals team knocking off a Seattle Seahawks squad that could still end up in the playoffs with a win and few lucky breaks is almost too good not to happen.

It’s the rest of the games we have to talk ourselves into, so let’s get at it.

The Ravens are playing for nothing, but their backup QB, Tyler Huntley, is objectively better than Mason Rudolph of the Pittsburgh Steelers by any metric. And, considering Rudolph has played two good games in a row, it’s time for those wheels to fly off at some point. Especially since Mike Tomlin has already picked up the requisite ninth win to keep his 17-year non-losing streak alive.

The Falcons could do the New Orleans Saints no better favor than to win this one to ensure the team has no excuse to keep Dennis Allen as its head coach next season. Atlanta could be a solid destination for a new head coach and while Arthur Smith should already have his suitcase packed, he can still audition as an offensive coordinator with a solid play calling performance in this one.

Yes, the Giants aren’t great, but they play teams close and do you really have any faith in the Philadelphia Eagles after what we’ve all witnessed over the last month?

Finally, the Dolphins have exactly one victory over a winning team in the 2023-24 campaign, but they’re a good, talented and explosive squad. Mike McDaniel is one of the best young coaches in the league and no one would be, or should be, surprised to see him get his team up for a monster victory at home over the Buffalo Bills to possibly keep that team out of the postseason.

A $10 winning parley bet on these eight moneylines pays $12,715.42.
