Four Key NFL Quarterback Props You Should Consider Playing In Advance

While the rest of the football world is still celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory or preparing for the 2020 NFL Draft, the oddsmakers have already turned their attention to next season with a look at some key NFL futures.
The theme of this offseason will be the movement of quarterbacks as a number of veterans – many of whom are former Pro Bowlers – could be on the move. Let’s take a closer look at the props and see who goes and who stays.
WILL CAM NEWTON START IN WEEK 1 OF 2020 NFL SEASON?
YES -150
NO +110
Cam Newton’s future with the Carolina Panthers remains up in the air heading into the offseason. According to reports, the Panthers want to see Newton work out on the field before they make a decision on whether to bring him back in 2020. While Kyle Allen performed well filling in for Newton this past year, the reality is that Carolina would prefer having a capable franchise quarterback that can get them to the postseason in place. Will Newton be able to fill that role for them for at least one more season?
Even if Carolina passes on him, a number of teams around the league are desperate for quarterback help and would be more than willing to take a chance on Newton with a short-term deal. Think of a team like the Chicago Bears, for example. If Newton is healthy, he’ll be a starter somewhere.
WILL COWBOYS FRANCHISE TAG DAK PRESCOTT?
YES -500
NO +300
The Cowboys are coming off another disappointing season but with the hope that they have the right people in place to contend for a playoff spot next season. However, just when it seemed as though everything was falling in to place following the hiring of Mike McCarthy as head coach, it turns out Dallas could be in store for a tumultuous offseason that includes trying to convince their franchise quarterback to return on a short-term deal. Dak Prescott is a free agent and while the Cowboys want him back, they have not reached the point where a multi-year extension seems like a lock.
Will Dallas franchise tag Prescott? All indications are that he would sign the tag and play next season despite his preference for an extension, so it looks like that is the most likely scenario right now. It’s doubtful they’d let him walk.
WILL TITANS FRANCHISE TAG RYAN TANNEHILL?
YES -500
NO +300
While there is more pressure on the Cowboys than the Titans to bring back their starting quarterback right now, it looks like Tennessee could also be on the path to signing their passer to a franchise tag. Ryan Tannehill helped Tennessee turn its season around and led them to the AFC Championship Game. Bringing him back on a one-year, prove-it type of deal makes sense.
WILL JAMEIS WINSTON START IN WEEK 1 OF 2020 NFL SEASON?
NO -200
YES +150
The Buccaneers have a difficult decision to make when it comes to Winston. On the one hand, he is still just 26-years-old and coming off a season in which he threw for over 5,000 yards and 33 touchdowns. On the other hand, he also threw 30 interceptions, seven pick-sixes and Tampa Bay fell well short of the postseason in Winston’s first year under head coach Bruce Arians. Did
It feels like the Bucs are ready to move on from Winston as Philip Rivers seems like a good option. Winston could still get a starting job somewhere else, though, but given his inconsistent history, he might have to compete for that role.
