NFL Football Betting: ATS Power Rankings 1-16

16. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (3-3)
WEEK 6 RANK: 22

Despite their reputation at home, all three of Seattle’s covers came on the road. They’re also 1-3 ATS as favorites. As home favorites this weekend against the Ravens, it would seem like a bet on Seattle would be a mistake. At least it would have Baltimore didn’t have one of the worst ATS records in the league. Perhaps the Earl Thomas Bowl is headed for a push.

15. DENVER BRONCOS (3-3)
WEEK 6 RANK: 23

Two dominant covers in a row have the Broncos up to .500 for the season. Two weeks ago, it would have seemed impossible for the Broncos to leapfrog Kansas City in these rankings. Now we’ll see if they deserve to keep the spot when they face the Chiefs on Thursday as three-point underdogs.

14. ARIZONA CARDINALS (4-2)
WEEK 6 RANK: 17

The Cardinals picked up another cover against the lowly Falcons. That’s not much of an accomplishment this season, but the Cardinals have to be commended for a 60 percent cover rate. They’re 4-1 ATS as underdogs and will have that status again this weekend against the Giants.

13. PITTSBURGH STEELERS (4-2)
WEEK 6 RANK: 16

Devlin Hodges kept the Steelers’ cover streak alive, meaning at least two Pittsburgh quarterbacks will finish the season with more covers than Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers are off this week, after which they’ll face the Dolphins on Monday night.

12. OAKLAND RAIDERS (3-2)
WEEK 6 RANK: 12

The Raiders maintain their spot after being off in Week 6. They’ll face Green Bay after their controversial Monday night win.

11. LOS ANGELES RAMS (4-2)
WEEK 6 RANK: 4

The Rams take a big fall after losing by 13 as three-point favorites. They now have two big losses as favorites in three weeks. It would be very alarming if that happens again this week against Atlanta.

10. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (4-2)
WEEK 6 RANK: 15

Teddy Bridgewater moves to 4-0 ATS. It doesn’t matter if they’re favorites, underdogs, at home or on the road, the Saints can’t be stopped. It will be a tougher matchup against the Chicago defense, but Bridgewater’s Saints always seem to find a way.

9. GREEN BAY PACKERS (4-2)
WEEK 6 RANK: 3

Green Bay probably didn’t deserve to win on Monday night, but the game did put them in the ATS loss column. They’re home favorites this week, a role they’ve failed to cover in twice in a row.

8. HOUSTON TEXANS (4-2)
WEEK 6 RANK: 13

The Texans won straight-up as 3.5-point underdogs on the heels of their dominant victory over Atlanta. They’re 3-0 ATS as road underdogs, which is what they currently are against the Colts.

7. CAROLINA PANTHERS (4-2)
WEEK 6 RANK: 9

The Panthers now have four straight wins and covers heading into their bye week. The word is Cam Newton could potentially return after the bye, which will give the Panthers a big decision to make. Whether it’s Newton or Kyle Allen, the Panthers could have some difficulty when they face the 49ers in Week 8.

6. MINNESOTA VIKINGS (4-2)
WEEK 6 RANK: 8

Minnesota took down the Eagles behind a monster performance from Stefon Diggs, giving them their first back-to-back covers of the season. The Vikings are 4-0 ATS outside their division and 0-2 against the rest of the NFC North. They’re also 3-0 ATS at home. Keep those numbers in mind when they face the Lions on the road this week.

5. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (3-1-1)
WEEK 6 RANK: 8

Indy returns from the bye to face the red-hot Texans. The ATS winner no doubt has a spot in the Week 8 top five locked up.

4. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (4-2)
WEEK 6 RANK: 7

The Patriots could easily be 6-0 ATS right now if a couple of things went their way. They’ll face the Jets again this season, who were one of New England’s ATS losses. The return of Sam Darnold should make this one more interesting.

3. DETROIT LIONS (4-1)
WEEK 6 RANK: 6

At least the Lions can take solace in an ATS victory after a rough Monday night. They’ve now covered four in a row and, if you read the Vikings section, you know they’re a good bet to extend their winning streak.

2. BUFFALO BILLS (4-1)
WEEK 6 RANK: 2

Buffalo maintains the number-two spot after their bye week. Now they kind of get another bye week when they host the Dolphins.

1. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (4-1)
WEEK 6 RANK: 1

The 49ers were underdogs against the Rams but still won by 17. That’s just the sort of cover that has them ranked number one for the third consecutive week. After a date with the Redskins, their status is likely safe.
