Week 7 NFL Sunday action is upon us and in this post we’ll look at some of the more intriguing prop bets of the week. The NFL regular season prop odds at BetOnline.ag is the source of these wagers:
MATT RYAN TOTAL PASSING YARDS WEEK 7
I know you’ve heard the old saying ‘past results are no guarantee of future success’. Not bad advice in general though in this specific instance it might not be valid. Here are Matt Ryan’s per game yardage numbers for the 2019 NFL season:
304, 320, 304, 397, 330, 356
The Atlanta Falcons have the #31 scoring defense in the NFL allowing an average of 31 PPG. The Rams should have no trouble moving the ball and putting up points on the hapless Falcons’ defenders. One of two things will happen here: the teams will trade points and Ryan will exceed 300 yards passing. Alternately, the Falcons will be ‘playing from behind’ all game and Ryan will rack up his numbers in a losing cause in ‘garbage time’. Atlanta has the #29 rushing offense in football so how else are they going to score points?
BET MATT RYAN OVER 295.5 TOTAL PASSING YARDS WEEK 7 -125
ANDY DALTON TOTAL PASSING YARDS WEEK 7
Similar concept as above. Dalton is averaging 274.5 yards per game and has thrown for 230 or more in 5 of 6 starts this season. Jacksonville has solid defensive personnel though they haven’t played particularly well this year. The Jaguars rank #16 in passing yards against per game allowing 241.5. We don’t even need Dalton to pick up that many yards to cash this bet. The other dynamic is similar to one in the game above–the Bengals can’t run the ball and rank dead last in the NFL in rushing offense (56.5 yards per game). That’s not going to magically change here.
BET ANDY DALTON OVER 230.5 TOTAL PASSING YARDS WEEK 7 -140
