The big question heading into Sunday’s game is will Jordan Love play after suffering a knee
injury in the opening game of the season? Even if he doesn’t play Green Bay is still a slight
favorite at home as the NFC North foes renew their rivalry at Lambeau Field.
Green Bay Packers
The coaching staff has done a fabulous job for Willis and the offense. In two games, he is
25-for-34, 324 yards, and two touchdowns. WIllis also has added to the ground game rushing
for 114 yards and a score in those games. Green Bay is the number one rushing team in the
NFL racking up 204 yards per game. But the Pack face a big challenge as the Vikings are #2 in
the NFL allowing just 71 yards on the ground. The defense has been playing lights out. Last
week, 8 sacks and two interceptions including a pick-6. With or without Love the Packers are
built well to end Sam Darnold’s undefeated run.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings have been the surprise team of the season thus far as Sam Darnold has revitalized
his career, throwing for 657 yards and 8 touchdowns with just two interceptions through three
games. And he’s looked quite comfortable for the first time in his NFL career.
Minnesota sits fifth in rushing success but has faced three of the worst rushing defenses to start
the season. Now they take on one of the better defensive units that has 7 interceptions and two
fumbles, Green Bay’s turnover ratio of +7 is the best in the league. Minnesota’s path to victory
relies heavily on Justin Jefferson having success against the secondary. Over his career, JJ
has been held to 59 or fewer yards in 5 of the 7 games. But in the other two, he had 169 and
184 yards, and two scores in each game, both wins by the Vikings.
Player Prop Best Bets
Aaron Jones: Over 57.5 Rushing Yards (-118)
Aaron Jones was the heart and soul of the Packers during his 7 seasons in Green Bay. You
know he’ll be looking to impress his former team and has had a great start to the season. Jones
rushed for 102 yards vs the Texans and another 94 against the Giants. He’s also rushed for at
least 51 yards in 8 of his last 9 games and with the extra motivation, he should hit this mark
Sunday.
Sam Darnold: Over 0.5 Interceptions (-139)
This seems like a game where the defense will be too much for Darnold to avoid throwing an
errand pass. The Packers have been all over opposing quarterbacks picking off 7 passes.
Xavier McKinney leads the league with 3 while Jaire Alexander has 2. Playing in a hostile
environment can only lead to bad decisions.
