SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WEEK 14: PHILADELPHIA EAGLES AT DALLAS COWBOYS

Thanks to a dominating performance by the San Francisco 49ers last week, this Sunday Night Football contest between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys could be for all the marbles. Not only can Dallas put a claim on the NFC East with a win Sunday night, they could also move up to the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC. Something they haven’t experienced since Dak Prescott’s rookie season in 2016. Needless to say, Cris Collinsworth’s sliding cheek is already greased and prepped.
This is the 130th all time meeting between the two clubs with the Cowboys holding the 73-56 edge. They split last season, but the Eagles took the first game in this one, winning 28-23 back on Nov. 5. Jalen Hurts was 17 of 23 passing for 207 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the win. He scrambled 10 times for 36 yards and a score. D’Andre Swift rushed 18 times for 43 yards. AJ Brown caught seven passes for 66 yards and a TD.
As for the Cowboys, Dak Prescott was 29 of 44 passing for 374 yards, three touchdowns and no picks in the loss. Tony Pollard rushed 12 times for 51 yards. CeeDee Lamb caught 11 balls for 191 yards. Jake Ferguson had seven receptions for 91 yards and a TD.

Location: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas
Broadcast: NBC
Kickoff: Dec. 10, 8:20 p.m.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (10-2)
The Eagles come into this game severely humbled, after the 49ers traveled to Lincoln Financial Field, ate Philly’s lunch in front of them and popped the bag in their faces to the tune of a 42-19 beat down. Jalen Hurts was 26 of 45 passing for 298 yards, one touchdown and no picks in the loss. He led the team in rushing with seven carries for 20 yards and a TD and was sacked three times. AJ Brown caught eight passes for 114 yards. DeVonta Smith had nine receptions for 96 yards and a TD. The defense sacked Brock Purdy twice.
DALLAS COWBOYS (9-3)
Dallas picked up its first victory over a team with a winning record last week, defeating the Seattle Seahawks in a Thursday Night shootout, 41-35. Ironically, the Seahawks no longer have a winning record and likely won’t have one again this season, so Dallas didn’t get the chance to enjoy that accomplishment for very long. Dak Prescott was sharp again, going 29 of 41 passing for 299 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. He scrambled seven times for 23 yards and was sacked four times. Tony Pollard rushed 20 times for 58 yards. CeeDee Lamb caught 12 passes for 116 yards and a score. Jake Ferguson had six receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown. The defense held Seattle to just 72 yards on the ground and picked Geno Smith off once.
THE PICK
I’d feel a lot better about Dallas’ chances here if the Eagles weren’t just humiliated a week ago. I can’t see Philadelphia losing two in a row and Dallas has yet to show up for four full quarters against an elite team. Eagles 31, Cowboys 27
