Super Bowl LV Props – The Best Pregame Props

There is more money wagered on Super Bowl Sunday than any other day during the year in the United States. Typically, over 100 million fans gather together to watch the biggest sporting event in the US annually, but this year will be a little different as there won’t be nearly as many parties or get togethers due to COVID. However, there are almost 1,000 prop bets available for Super Bowl LV, so anyone missing the camaraderie of cheering on a team together can cheer on some bets at home.

Will Any Player Kneel During the National Anthem?

Yes +600

No -1500

We haven’t seen much hubbub about players kneeling during the Star-Spangled Banner this season. After a busy Week 1, protests tapered off and the failed reelection bid of Donald Trump seemed to put a halt to any kneeling altogether. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s mea culpa and subsequent apology to Colin Kaepernick further defused the movement, so it seems unlikely that anyone will take a knee or raise a fist during the Super Bowl LV National Anthem.

The player to keep an eye on is Alex Okafor. He kneeled and raised a fist in the air during the national anthem for Kansas City’s season opener against Houston, but he hasn’t protested since that point. There were scattered boos in Arrowhead Stadium when he did decide to kneel, so he seems to have moved away from it.

Which Coach Will Be Shown First During the National Anthem?

Andy Reid -130

Bruce Arians -110

This feels like a true toss-up, but I’m going to make a case for Bruce Arians to be the first person shown during the national anthem. Andy Reid is a known quantity, and he will likely be the recipient of one of the last close-up shots. It makes more sense to gradually build up the hype with close-ups on the biggest characters throughout the rendition by Jazmine Sullivan, so the most well-known people involved like Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, and Reid will likely be the final shots in order to increase the suspense. Bruce Arians doesn’t have the same prestige as Reid, so he should be shown as part of the crescendo.

Will Jazmine Sullivan Show Cleavage During the National Anthem?

Yes -165

No +125

The “No” opened as the favorite for this prop, but the odds have since flipped in favor of the “Yes”. Jazmine Sullivan released a new album last month that had her showing cleavage on the cover, and she wore a top that revealed some cleavage during her press junket for Super Bowl LV on media day. The name of her most recent album “Heaux Tales” might almost be an indicator of where to go with this prop bet.

Length of the National Anthem

Over 1:57 -140

Under 1:57 +100

This has been one of the most popular bets over the last decade. Even non-sports fans get in on the action and bet the national anthem as it’s the grandest stage any performer will ever have in terms of eyeballs.

Sullivan sang the national anthem in under 100 seconds for an NHL Stadium Series game between Chicago and Minnesota five years ago. That seems to point to the under, but she will be performing alongside Eric Church. It’s possible that Church provides vocals to instead of just playing a guitar, but either way bringing in another person to help should lead to a longer anthem.
