The Adam Greene CRAZY PARLAY: WEEK 1

BY ADAM GREENE

It’s the best time of the year and this is the best time of the week — the moment when I reveal the Crazy NFL Parlay and try to actively change all of our lives for the better.

If this is your first Crazy NFL Parlay, let me explain what we do. We’re not just tossing a dart blindfolded at the football odds. Oh no. We’re really trying to win. You see, every single week of the football season crazy stuff happens. Insane plays, wacky endings and monster upsets. The only thing you can count on is the fact that you never know what can happen. It’s where the phrase, “Any given Sunday” comes from.

What we are doing here is throwing a saddle on the whirlwind. We are monetizing chaos. Turning the universe’s natural state of entropy into cold hard cash. It’s a longshot, sure. But that’s why the payoff is so worth it. We’re trying to turn the cost of a trip to Starbucks into a vacation condo timeshare.

Here’s what I’ve hand selected for you this week:

Ravens -6.5 (-110)

Dolphins (-180)

Browns pk (-112)

Bears (+245)

Lions (+180)

Jaguars (+115)

Raiders (+159)

Vikings (-102)

Cowboys (+121)

If you’ve already read my Friday Afternoon Quarterback column (and you should, this article will be here when you get back), then you know I’ve picked the Baltimore Ravens to knock off the New York Jets in blowout fashion and the Cleveland Browns to defy all karmic retribution and defeat the Carolina Panthers.

I’ve also picked upsets for the Chicago Bears to surprise the San Francisco 49ers (and everyone else) with a win. I think Doug Pederson and the Jacksonville Jaguars will once again ruin Carson Wentz’s day, this time with the Washington Commanders and the Minnesota Vikings will do that thing they almost always do, beat Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers once a year.

It’s the other games we have to talk ourselves into, so let’s do it.

The Detroit Lions are tough as nails, had the best HBO’s Hard Knocks season that I can remember and ended last season on a high note, beating the Packers in Week 18. They’re playing at home in front of a rabid and hungry fanbase facing a young Philadelphia Eagles team that probably can’t be trusted just yet.

As for the Las Vegas Raiders at the Los Angeles Chargers, this game happened in Week 18 last year as a play-in game for the playoffs. The Raiders won it in overtime and added Devante Adams this offseason to their offense.

And, lastly, I know it’s a stretch to think Mike McCarthy could ever lead a team to a victory over a Tom Brady quarterbacked opponent. But the Cowboys nearly knocked them off last year, losing by a field goal. Dallas is just as loaded on offense and the Bucs are banged up, with both Chris Godwin and Russell Gage listed as questionable on their injury report. Plus, the game is in Dallas this time.

A winning $10 bet on a parlay with these lines and moneylines pays $13,207.18
