Maybe it was lack of “interest” or maybe it was just a changing of the guard, but the oldest coach in the NHL was relieved of his duties today.
What many think was a move long overdue, the Philadelphia Flyers fired John Tortorella earlier today.
BetOnline.ag has been updating a betting market for the next NHL coach fired all season. Interestingly, the last update I sent had Tortorella listed at 33/1 so hopefully someone made some moola on those longshot odds.
Brunette was a 1/1 favorite back on January 14 while the current favorite, Mike Sullivan was fourth on the board at 5/1.
