The NFL Draft is over as now the rookie class of 2020 has found their rosters. Now that we know the landing spots, we can start to examine which players are going to have breakout seasons and are in a better position to succeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BetOnline has already posted over-under props<\/a> on the first four receivers off the board. They\u2019ll obviously be compared against each other for the rest of their careers, so let\u2019s start it off now and take a look at each of receiving totals for 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n JERRY JEUDY, DENVER BRONCOS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n OVER-UNDER: 900 RECEIVING YARDS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The process of handicapping how many receiving yards various receivers will get depends on a few different calculations. Every analysts has to make his or her own conclusions. Jeudy doesn\u2019t have the injury concerns of CeeDee Lamb or Henry Ruggs. He doesn\u2019t have a problem dropping passes the way Jalen Reagor sometimes endured at TCU. He is the best and most complete receiver in the draft. He wasn\u2019t the first receiver picked, but he probably is the best prospect overall. This should enable him to do relatively well in his rookie season. Jeudy is fast but also a really good route runner. He will probably have a lot of success catching short and long passes. Lamb is more of a deep threat. Ruggs is more of a short-pass catcher, as is Reagar. Jeudy has the best balance of both the horizontal passing game and the vertical game. The ultimate variable is Drew Lock, Denver\u2019s young quarterback, who should get the keys to the offense and a chance to grow into the position. Lock might throw a lot of interceptions if he gets a full season to play. However, the Broncos are probably going to throw a lot since they figure to be trailing in a lot of games, especially against the Kansas City Chiefs. The ingredients are certainly there for Jeudy to go over 900 yards. As long as Lock is not terrible, he will probably get there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n CEEDEE LAMB, DALLAS COWBOYS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n OVER-UNDER: 850 RECEIVING YARDS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The drama with Lamb \u2013 a great deep-ball receiver \u2013 is if he can collect a reasonable number of short and intermediate catches in addition to the long ball. Lamb will score a few 50- or 60-yard touchdowns, but can he stack up a lot of catches? That might be his problem. He isn\u2019t a great route runner. He relies on his athleticism to get open, so he might be limited when he goes up against an elite cover corner. Lamb will make some big plays, but 850 yards seems like a tall task and an unlikely proposition for him in his rookie season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n HENRY RUGGS, LAS VEGAS RAIDERS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n OVER-UNDER: 800 YARDS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ruggs will catch a lot of short passes from Marcus Mariota in the Raiders\u2019 offense. He ran a 4.27 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine but injured himself in the process of posting that fast time. One has to wonder how Mariota will fare with a new team in a new offense. The Raiders are probably going to feature Josh Jacobs in the running game, which might mean that Ruggs will get fewer touches this upcoming season than he would probably prefer. Under 800 yards seems like a good bet at this point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n JALEN REAGOR, PHILADELPHIA EAGLES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n OVER-UNDER: 700 YARDS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The quality of Carson Wentz is tied to Wentz\u2019s health, which has been a problem the past few years. If healthy, Wentz can be a great quarterback, but he has been pounded due to a weak offensive line in Philadelphia. Reagor might be a good receiver, but if his quarterback isn\u2019t healthy, that might not matter. Under 700 yards seems to be the appropriate play with Reagor \u2013 not as a commentary on his own abilities, but as a reflection of the weaknesses and limitations of the Eagles\u2019 offense as presently constructed. The Eagles did not do much in the draft to help Reagor. Drafting Jalen Hurts in the second round was a ridiculous pick. It is hard to see what Philadelphia\u2019s philosophy is.
