In the final play of his Tampa tenure, which also happened to be the first snap of the overtime period in a 22-22 tie game with the Atlanta Falcons, Winston dropped back and tossed the ball right to the Falcons\u2019 Deion Jones, who returned it 27 yards for the game-winning score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Winston was playing for his job at that moment and lost it right along with the game. In doing so, he accomplished something no other QB had done in the history of the league, as he tossed 30 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in the same season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What had to be so frustrating for Arians and the rest of the team is exactly how close the Bucs were to being good. Eight of their nine losses were by a single score and two of them were in overtime. When they did put anything at all together, they reeled off four straight wins after Thanksgiving before Winston\u2019s generosity with the football (six picks to be exact) cost them their final two games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After the season, Winston was allowed to walk and the team opened the search for a new quarterback\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2020 Projection:<\/strong> \u2026and landed a future Hall of Famer in the process. Yes, Tom Brady at the ripe old age of 43 will take command of a Bucs offense loaded with stars that just needed someone to not throw the ball to the other team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What you have to hope, then, is that Brady will avoid the QB cliff that has taken out so many older quarterbacks before him and that he won\u2019t get hurt. The NFC South is a different animal than the pitiful AFC East that he\u2019s been easily dominating in his career. And as good as he was last year, Brady wasn\u2019t as good as he\u2019s been. His 60.8 completion percentage was the third lowest of his career and his 24 TD passes were tied for the third lowest of his career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2020 Projected Win Total:<\/strong> 11-5. I\u2019ve written Tom Brady\u2019s football obituary for years and I\u2019m not falling for it again.
