Now we come to the fun part. We\u2019ve reviewed each individual team and worked out how the divisions will play out. This is the part where, if you bet right in the preseason, you can get the highest return on your investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You pick the Super Bowl winner correctly in July or August, you are pocketing a monster pile of cash come next February<\/a> and you won\u2019t even have to pay taxes on it for another calendar year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n First up, let\u2019s review our seedings based on my earlier predictions. This is, of course, using the new playoff format instituted this offseason that adds a seventh team to each conference field. There\u2019s almost always an upset in the Wild Card round and I\u2019m tempted to go with the Titans here, but I feel like the Colts, with Philip Rivers, will be playing for a while. Colts 31, Titans 24<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The upset, then, will come from a Texans team that just overpowers the Steeleers by sheer talent. Texans 34, Steelers 20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Lastly, we\u2019ve got the Bills falling to New England, a team no one would have had to contend with in the postseason without the addition of Cam Newton. Pats 24, Bills 13<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NFC<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Dallas<\/strong> Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Atlanta<\/strong> Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Seattle<\/strong> Seahawks at Green Bay Packers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n After a 13-year hiatus, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers return to the playoffs with Tom Brady leading the way. There\u2019ll be plenty of excitement leading up to this one and the game hyped as the last time he faced off against the Falcons was that 28-3 choke-job\/epic comeback that landed him his fifth Super Bowl ring. I think that matters this time and Atlanta makes it right. Falcons 23, Bucs 20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n With our upset out of the way, the other two games can go down as chalk. The Eagles hold off a superior cowboys roster thanks to having the vastly superior coach. Eagles 17, Cowboys 14<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Seahawks and Packers put on a better show, with Wilson and Rodgers putting on a QB duel for the ages. In the end, the home field advantage and defensive superiority makes the difference.
