Leonard\u2019s Los Angeles Clippers are the favorites to win the NBA championship<\/a> per the basketball betting odds at BetOnline, slightly ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers. Even if the Clippers only make it to the Western Conference Finals, it will be the furthest they have advanced in the postseason in their 50-year history. This hard-luck franchise has made it to the conference semifinals seven times in their history, but the Clip Show has never been able to take the next step. Leonard and Paul George are the stars of this team, but the depth is the real strength of the Clippers. Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams are two of the best bench players in the NBA, and this team is built for the grind of the postseason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lakers are finally relevant again. The addition of Anthony Davis and a healthy LeBron James led the Lakers to the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. Davis and James are the best duo in the NBA, but there are some questions about Davis given his play in Orlando. He has really struggled from the floor, and if those problems continue the Lakers will be in trouble. Their backcourt has not been good this season, so other teams can take advantage of those issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Milwaukee is the odds-on favorite to win the Eastern Conference with odds of -160<\/a> to make it to the NBA Finals. The Bucks won\u2019t be tested in the first round of the playoffs by the lowly Orlando Magic, and they have the best player in the league in Giannis Antetokuonmpo. Khris Middleton has taken his game to another level, and he is a threat to go 50\/40\/90 throughout the postseason, but the X-Factor will be Eric Bledsoe. He was not great in last year\u2019s playoffs, and he needs to be better for the Bucks to get past Toronto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nick Nurse is the best coach in the NBA, and he should win Coach of the Year honors for his job with Toronto this season. The Raptors were 55-1 to repeat<\/a> as NBA champions in the preseason after Leonard left for LA, and they are the fourth favorite on the board ahead of the playoffs. Toronto has a very favorable draw in the Eastern Conference, as the Raptors play the shorthanded Brooklyn Nets in the first round, and they will likely take on Boston in the next round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Celtics have been a trendy pick in the eyes of media members since they were 3-1 against the Raptors in the regular season, but there are reasons to be cautious about liking this team too much. Kemba Walker isn\u2019t anything close to 100 percent, and Gordon Hayward has been a little shaky. That means the team will have to rely on young guns Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown throughout the playoffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oklahoma City is a pretty tempting longshot at 50-1. The No. 5 seed in the Western Conference won the head-to-head with Houston in the regular season, and the Thunder have the tools to upset the Rockets. They are the only underdog with less than +200 odds to advance in the first round<\/a>, so there is real value considering the difference between their odds and the Rockets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
