FlyQuest and Team Liquid won on Thursday and Friday to ensure they will be in China, sending Cloud9 and Golden Guardians to the losers’ bracket. That has led to some soul searching with Cloud9 as a loss to Evil Geniuses this weekend will mean they will miss out on Worlds despite putting together the best split we’ve ever seen from an NA team earlier this year. They are significant favorites to advance per the League of Legends betting odds though.

2020 LEAGUE OF LEGENDS LCS SUMMER SPLIT PLAYOFFS ROUND 2 BETTING ODDS

CLOUD9 -526
EVIL GENIUSES +358

It was frustrating to watch Cloud9 against FlyQuest on Thursday. For a team that has been so good at understanding the meta and putting together creative drafts, their insistence on playing Ezreal and Yummi in the bottom lane was mind-boggling. Zven had a 1.9 KDA in four games on Ezreal, and he was caught out of position far too often on such a mobile champion.

C9 are known for their innovation under Reapered, so that’s what I’m expecting to see against Evil Geniuses. Licorice has been fantastic this season, and he can take over a game in either the laning phase or the late game, while Nisqy has looked sharp in the mid lane for nearly the entire year. However, Blaber must play better after a very underwhelming performance from the Spring Split MVP out of the jungle.

Evil Geniuses might be heavy underdogs, but they have reason to be confident after knocking off C9 in their most recent regular season meeting. Goldenglue outplayed Nisqy in the mid lane, and Huni was strong in the late game with his play on Gangplank.

The Geniuses have looked dangerous at times. Huni can still make things happen in the top lane, and Bang has answered concerns about his champion pool. We saw EG take FlyQuest to five games before falling, while C9 were only able to go to Game 4 against the same opponent, so the underdog is a tantalizing option at this price.

TEAM SOLOMID -246
GOLDEN GUARDIANS +189

TSM were heavy favorites to knock off Golden Guardians last week, but they were surprisingly swept in that series and sent to the losers’ bracket. They had no issue getting past Dignitas, yet they have to be more than a little concerned that they must face off with the Guardians once again with their Worlds’ hopes on the line.

The big question for TSM coming into this series is who will be starting in support. Treatz and Biofrost shared duties at the position during the regular season, but Treatz has been criticized for his play in the postseason. Biofrost is a veteran that has been on this stage often, so he might be the choice.

Fans of the most popular team in NA can be happy with what they have seen out of Broken Blade and Spica though. The top laner and jungler have received a ton of criticism for their play in the Summer Split, but they have played well in the postseason. Bjergsen continues to stand out in the mid lane, yet there are lingering concerns about Doublelift after some erratic play.

Damonte was excellent against TSM in their last series. The mid laner may have only picked up two kills, but he was excellent at controlling portions of the map and zoning away enemies with his play on Ziggs and Orianna. Closer was sharp coming out of the jungle too, and FBI looked surprisingly confident against Doublelift.

While TSM are more likely to advance, the Golden Guardians have to be the pick at these odds. The Guardians did just sweep TSM last week, and that left Doublelift so flustered he forgot to buy on his back.

Follow our Twitter account for the latest sports news and wagering odds, and come to our Instagram for more useful betting info too.

Two North American teams have already locked up their spot at the League of Legends World Championships, leaving four teams…

[140

post-13041","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-esports
["GET
