However, the lack of the elite golfers means that this tournament is wide open. However, due to where this tournament falls in the PGA Tour schedule, there aren\u2019t many familiar names among the previous winners. The winner of this event has finished with a score of at least -14 every year since its inception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Course<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week\u2019s tournament will be held at the north course of the Silverado Country Club. The course is a short par-72, so we should see a lot of low numbers on the scorecards. There isn\u2019t a real elevation change at Silverado, and golfers can see where they are hitting on every hole. Heat could be a real concern though as the temperature is forecast to hit the high 90s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Value Play to Win the Event: Brendan Steele +2200<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steele is a California native that is the only two-time winner of this event. He beat Tony Finau by two strokes in 2017 and tied the course record by shooting 18-under in 2016. His last two trips to this course haven\u2019t gone smoothly with both finishes falling outside of the top 50, and only two of his eight rounds the last two years were 70 or under. Steele failed to win an event last year, but he was close with a runner-up finish at the Sony Open, a T4 finish at the Honda Classic, and a T6 at the Travelers Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Top 5 Prop: Phil Mickelson +450<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lefty only started playing this course in 2017, but his first two trips to Napa Valley were rewarding. Mickelson finished 8th<\/sup> at the 2017 Safeway Open, and he followed that up with a 3rd<\/sup> place finish in 2018. He was in line for a nice finish in 2019 before shooting +2 over the weekend, and he missed the cut in 2020. That missed cut has led to increased odds<\/a> on Mickelson to post a top five finish this weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
