This year\u2019s Champions League draw didn\u2019t have the pomp and circumstance it usually does, but its importance remained the same. Certain clubs received royal roads to the knockout rounds, while others were drawn into veritable Groups of Death, hurting their chances of making it to the Round of 16. With that in mind, let\u2019s take a look<\/a> at the odds to win the Champions League Group Stage for each team in the first four groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2020-21 Champions League Group Stage Betting Odds<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Odds to Win Group A<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bayern Munich -250

Red Bull Salzburg +900

The defending Champions League winners have the honor of being in Group A, and they are the odds-on favorites to claim the top spot. Bayern Munich were perfect in last year\u2019s Champions League, winning all 11 of their matches en route to claiming their sixth title in this competition. They are even better this year after adding Leroy Sane to a star-studded attack, and this young back line figures to be the envy of Europe for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atletico Madrid are a staple in the knockout rounds of the Champions League. They have made it out of the Group Stage for each of the last seven years, and they will relish the opportunity to get a spot of revenge. Atletico were knocked out of last year\u2019s competition by Red Bull Leipzig, so there will be a little extra motivation to knock out RB Salzburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Odds to Win Group B<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shakhtar Donetsk +1400<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is one of the toughest groups in this year\u2019s Champions League. If any team other than Shakhtar Donetsk would have been drawn into Group B out of Pot 2, it would certainly be the Group of Death, but the Ukrainian champions ended up here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Real Madrid and Inter Milan are the two juggernauts in the group, but Borussia Monchengladbach are a dangerous side. They were the scariest Pot 4 team, so don\u2019t be surprised to see them pick up a result or two, and they are a decent bet to advance<\/a> out of this group at +150.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Odds to Win Group C<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manchester City -400
Porto +500
Marseille +1000
Olympiacos +1600<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lines with Manchester City continue to be absurd, but this club has yet to win the Champions League. The Citizens were sent crashing out by Lyon last year, so they have to be a little worried to see Marseille in this group given what we have seen from them in the past. Marseille were runner up in the Europa League three seasons ago, and they knocked off Paris Saint Germain in the Parc des Princes last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Porto are an interesting opponent too. They have made it to the knockout rounds of the Champions League in three of the last four years, so it\u2019s difficult to lay the heavy chalk<\/a> with Manchester City at this price. One of the underdogs provides considerably more value although none of these teams are nearly as talented as Pep Guardiola\u2019s side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Odds to Win Group D<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Liverpool -175
Atalanta +300
Ajax +400
Midtjylland +3300<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This might be the highest scoring group of them all. Atalanta and Ajax both have free-flowing styles, and Liverpool would be more than happy to run with either side. The Reds received some bad news when it was announced that Sadio Mane tested positive for COVID-19, yet he should be cleared to return by the time the Champions League gets underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re not familiar with Atalanta, take some time to get acquainted with them. They are trying to change the stigma surrounding Italian soccer being low-scoring draw-fests by themselves. Atalanta have eight goals through their first two matches in Serie A, and they nearly knocked off PSG in the Champions League Quarterfinals last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
