Top Esports are co-favorites to lift the Summoners Cup alongside DAMWON Gaming, and they have looked the part since winning the Mid-Season Cup and the LPL Summer Split Finals.

However, the last quarterfinals series is seen as the closest of the group. There isn’t much separating Gen. G and G2 Esports, as Gen. G are only a slight favorite over the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational champions. The winner of this series would certainly be an underdog to DAMWON Gaming in the semifinals provided that team gets past DRX on Thursday.

2020 League of Legends World Championship Quarterfinals Betting Odds

Top Esports -769
Fnatic +539

It’s been a treat to watch Top Esports this year. They figured it all out once they brought in JackeyLove to be their bottom laner, and they have been the most accomplished team in the world since that point. The former Invictus Gaming star has brought his swagger to TES, and he has showcased some incredible Senna play. JackeyLove is currently dealing an insane 36.1 percent of his team’s damage at the World Championships, and his 9.1 KDA is third-best of any player at this event.

Karsa has been incredible too, and it looks like the long-time jungler might finally win his first Worlds. The former Flash Wolves and Royal Never Give Up star leads all players with a 10.8 KDA in Shanghai, and he has been on point with his smites.

TES mid laner Knight is the key to everything though, as he might be the best player in the world. Knight staked a claim to this honor last year, and he has doubled down this year with some incredible play. His Syndra is unmatched, but we have yet to see him at his best since he has played uncharacteristic champions like Galio and Nocturne in the mid lane.

Fnatic won’t be able to match up with TES on a skill level, but they do have reason to hope. This is a jungler-driven meta, and Selfmade has been very good in that role. Selfmade is currently second on the team in damage percentage, and he showed opponents that he can play a snowball champion like Evelynn effectively.

It is tough to find another area where Fnatic have an edge though. Rekkles is the only other player that has consistently performed at a high level throughout the 2020 season, as support Hylissang has been the definition of a coin flip player and Nemesis has not looked as strong in the mid lane.

Gen. G -115
G2 Esports -103

We watched G2 knock off two Korean teams on their way to the Worlds finals last year, but they are underdogs to the LCK’s No. 3 seed on Sunday. The Kings of Europe have not been very overpowering this year, continually stumbling throughout the 2020 season. They had a chance to lock down the No. 1 seed on the final day of the Group Stage, but they lost twice and drew a more difficult match-up as a result.

Caps has been solid in the mid lane, functioning as G2’s anchor throughout the season. His stats look rather pedestrian, but they don’t show the impact he has had on strong champions. Jankos and Perkz have had their fair share of struggles throughout 2020, so it’s been Caps that has continually had to carry the load.

Gen. G have a former world champion in long time AD Carry Ruler, and he is still playing at a very high level. Ruler was responsible for 32.5 percent of his team’s damage in the Group Stage, and he was even able to dust off a favorite from earlier this year in Aphelios. His support Life is not as strong as some of his supports in the past, but he has done a serviceable job.

This tournament will be a proving ground for BDD, and it’s important that he not let the moment consume him. BDD sometimes struggles to deal with the pressure of big events, so keep an eye on Gen. G’s mid laner, as he could get clapped by Caps.

Follow our Twitter account for the latest sports news and wagering odds, and come to our Instagram for more useful betting info too.

The second set of quarterfinals features the biggest mismatch in the eyes of the oddsmakers, as Top Esports is expected…

[140

post-13950","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-esports
["GET
