While I don’t keep conclusive records on such events, just looking at the factors involved I have to say, it has to be way up there.

If you’re a regular reader of this column and understand the criteria for which I choose each week’s Bad Beat, you already know the game that will be featured; Arizona Cardinals 32, Buffalo Bills 30.

Yes, for the second week in a row, Arizona has found its way into this article, this time as the spoiler, not the spoilee.

Why is it in the running for Worst Beat of All Time? Simply by being a Bad Beat on multiple levels.

First, you have the line, Arizona Cardinals -2.5 and their blatant disregard for your feelings, your finances and your mental state when they decided, in the name of sportsmanship, to take a knee on the extra point instead of just kicking it for a final three-point margin. HOW DARE THEY?

It’s like the coaches and players on a professional football team gave absolutely no thought to the gamblers out there who had X-Box Series X pre-orders we’ve been hiding from our significant others for the past two weeks. Kliff Kinsbury looked at you, looked at the pre-order receipt in your hands and promptly slapped it to the floor. He has no time for your nonsense. He must be a “good person” and “thoughtful member of the NFL community.” DO NOT MAKE ME PUKE!

But Cardinals bettors weren’t the only ones taken out, their spot in the X-Box queue now gone to history as their unit, shaped like the Jupiter monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey, will now sit on someone else’s TV table. You got the Bills Moneyline wagerers as well, for whom a +125 payoff was all of 39 seconds away when Josh Allen tossed a perfect 21-yard pass to Stephon Diggs in the corner of the end zone.

Not only did the Cardinals all but mug you of your winnings, they did it with two seconds to spare when DeAndre Hopkins came down in the paint, out jumping three Buffalo defenders to haul in a 43-yard touchdown pass from QB Kyler Murray. THE AUDACITY!

Oh, we’re not done. You see, the over/under for this game was 56 and you, after the Allen and Diggs score, an under bettor, were at the very least about to get your money back. No harm, no foul. It’s just cash you could have used on the Sunday Night or Monday Night games to try to keep the Video Game store from ruining your kids’ Christmas.

And Hopkins, through his super heroic feat of athleticism usually reserved for those touched by the gods, snatched that away too just as easily as he pulled the football through the six hands of the three defensive backs around him. DUDE, COME ON!

Was this the Worst Beat of All Time? Even after examining it closely, I can’t say. History will be the judge of that. And maybe by the time it does there will actually be X-Box Xs in stock somewhere.

Follow our BetOnline Twitter account for the latest sports news and betting odds, and stay tuned on the Instagram feed for more good information too.

BY ADAM GREENE There’s an argument that the Bad Beat featured this week could be in the running for the…

[129

post-14418","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl
["GET
