A few weeks ago we were lamenting the NFL Prime Time slate as possibly the worst ever and who could blame us? In Week Eight we had exactly one winning team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on the docket. That is not the case in Week 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nope, a featured game schedule that began with the Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks feeds into Sunday Night Football\u2019s match up between the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then, Monday Night, we\u2019ve got the Los Angeles Rams at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. None of these teams coming into the week had less than six wins. That\u2019s as solid as it gets without flexing a game. Good job, NFL. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
KANSAS CITY<\/strong> CHIEFS AT LAS VEGAS RAIDERS (+8.5, O\/U: 57)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Location:<\/strong> Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, Nev.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kickoff:<\/strong> Nov. 22, 8:20 p.m. EST<\/p>\n\n\n\n Broadcast:<\/strong> NBC<\/p>\n\n\n\n THE HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n These two teams are original rivals from the inaugural 1960 season of the AFL. Back then the Chiefs were the Dallas Texans (and would be for the next two seasons before moving to Kansas City). As such, this will be the 124th<\/sup> all-time match up between the two franchises, with the Chiefs holding a 67-54-2 edge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They\u2019ve done nothing but build on it since Andy Reid came to KC in 2013. Since then, the Chiefs have won 12 of the last 15 games over the Raiders. One of those Las Vegas wins came in their first match up this season, a 40-32 shootout victory in Arrowhead. Raiders QB Derek Carr matched KC\u2019s Patrick Mahomes throw for throw. Carr finished 22 of 31 for 347 yards, three touchdowns and a pick. Mahomes was 22 of 43 for 340 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Josh Jacobs rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns for the Raiders and rookie Henry Ruggs caught two (yes, two) passes for 118 yards and a TD. Travis Kelce led Kansas City with eight receptions for 108 yards and score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n KANSAS CITY<\/strong> CHIEFS (8-1)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Chiefs are fresh off the bye after surviving a surprisingly tough game against the Carolina Panthers, winning 33-31. Mahomes was 30 of 45 in the game for 372 yards and four touchdowns with no picks. Kelce caught 10 passes for 159 yards and Tyreek Hill Hauled in nine for 113 yards and two touchdowns. The running game was non existent against Carolina, gaining a total of 36 yards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n LAS VEGAS<\/strong> RAIDERS (6-3)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Las Vegas brings in a three-game win streak in which they began by solidifying their AFC Wild Card standings with a 16-6 victory over the Cleveland Browns. Since then they outlasted the Los Angeles Chargers, 31-26 and coasted over the Denver Broncos, 37-12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Carr had a pedestrian day against the Broncos, but his team didn\u2019t need it thanks to the defense picking off Drew Lock four times and forcing five total turnovers. Carr was 16 of 25 for 154 yards. Jacobs ran for 112 yards and two touchdowns. Devontae Booker was good for 82 yards and two scores of his own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n THE PICK<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n There\u2019s no way I would pick against Kansas City in this game and that was before I found out Andy Reid was a little ticked at what he saw as a victory lap by Las Vegas\u2019 bus<\/a> after their last contest. He mentioned it this week so I think he might want to make a point. The Raiders are a good team, but the Chiefs are probably the best team in the league and they\u2019re not losing off a bye.
