As it is, we have what will be the best AFC vs NFC game on the schedule until two franchises battle for the Vince Lombardi in February when the Tennessee Titans travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football.

TENNESSEE TITANS AT GREEN BAY PACKERS (-3.5, O/U: 55.5)

Location: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wis.

Kickoff: Dec. 27, 8:20 p.m. EST

Broadcast: NBC

THE HISTORY

Even though the Titans have existed as a franchise since 1960, this will just be the 13th all time meeting between them and the Packers. Tennessee, then known as the Houston Oilers, was part of the old AFL so you can at least blame that for the absence of meetings until 1970. They first hooked up in 1972 with Green Bay knocking off the then Oilers 23-10. The Titans hold a 7-5 advantage in the series.

Their last match up was on Nov. 13, 2016. Tennessee clobbered the Pack 47-25 with Marcus Mariota passing for 295 yards and four touchdowns. Running back DeMarco Murray rushed for 123 and a TD. Tight end Delanie Walker caught nine passes for 124 yards and a score.

Aaron Rodgers threw for 372 yards, two touchdowns with two picks. Jordy Nelson caught 12 passes for 128 yards and a TD. Devante Adams hauled in six for 156 yards.

TENNESSEE TITANS (10-4)

The Titans have reeled off two easy wins in a row after dropping a 41-35 shootout to the Cleveland Browns. Last week Tennessee blasted the Detroit Lions 46-25. Ryan Tannehill finished 21 of 27 for 273 yards and three touchdowns. Derrick Henry rushed 24 times for 147 yards and a TD. Corey Davis grabbed four passes for 110 yards and a score.

The defense didn’t play all that well in the win, giving up 430 yards to Detroit and picking off one pass. They did not record a sack.

GREEN BAY PACKERS (11-3)

Green Bay has won four straight, but like the Titan,s none have come against particularly elite teams. A week ago they outlasted the Carolina Panthers 24-16. Rodgers didn’t have to do much in the win, passing for 143 yards and a touchdown. Aaron Jones ran for 145 yards and a score. The defense sacked Teddy Bridgewater three times and got a fumble.

THE PICK

This late in the season, and at home, Green Bay should be a solid pick here, but sometimes dumb stuff in the NFL can make you nervous. For instance, a tweet like this, where Tennessee put Will Compton on the injury report because of a bad haircut. It might seem innocuous, but it means that team has itself together. They’re confident and having fun. And in professional football, that means dangerous. I’m still going with the Pack, but I don’t feel great about it. Packers 27, Titans 24

Follow our BetOnline Twitter account for the latest sports news and betting odds, and stay tuned on the Instagram feed for more good information too.

BY ADAM GREENE Consider this game a potential Super Bowl preview in a universe where the Kansas City Chiefs didn’t…

[129

post-14997","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl
["GET
