Will a Clip of Jon Gruden From Super Bowl XXXVII Be Shown During the Broadcast?

The \u2018Yes\u2019 is probably the right choice with this prop. This is only Tampa Bay\u2019s second Super Bowl appearance, and the Buccaneers\u2019 Super Bowl XXXVII win will certainly be referenced by Tony Romo and Jim Nantz. There will likely be a little 10 or 15 second video montage featuring some of the moments from that game, and a clip of Gruden feels natural considering he has maintained a strong NFL presence over the last two decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If Gruden were still in the broadcast booth or working for ESPN, it is less likely he would be shown considering the network rivalries that are in place. However, Gruden\u2019s now coaching the Las Vegas Raiders, so there are no real conflicts of interest there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Think about all the potential times Belichick might be mentioned as an aside. Nantz and Romo will make a point not to push that specific narrative too much as it\u2019s been done to death in the media, but it\u2019s also right there and easy to fall back on if there is a lull in the action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both teams have aggressive defensive coordinators, and both Brady and Patrick Mahomes will be under pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
