Team Liquid beat Team SoloMid from the mid-game onward in a 3-1 victory, while Cloud9 cruised to a 3-0 sweep of 100 Thieves on Sunday. Liquid and C9 will now face off in the Winners’ Bracket Finals for a spot in the LCS Mid-Season Showdown Finals next week, while TSM must face Evil Geniuses and 100T must take on Dignitas in elimination series this weekend.

2021 LCS Mid-Season Showdown Betting Odds

Evil Geniuses +146
Team SoloMid -196

These teams split their two regular season meetings. Evil Geniuses beat TSM two weeks ago to lock up the final playoff spot for the Mid-Season Showdown, but they are a moderate underdog coming into this series.

The bottom lane could be an advantage for the Geniuses. Deftly has a 5.8 KDA to lead the team, but he and Ignar have been caught out and killed way too often with the lowest kill participation percentages on the team. However, it’s hard to be too positive about the rest of the roster. Impact and Svenskeren are both veterans that are past their prime, while Jiizuke is an inconsistent mid laner known for tilting.

While TSM has been a punchline for most of the Spring Split, this is a significantly better roster. Huni can take over games in the top lane once again, and PowerOfEvil can perform well on control mages. SwordArt is a playmaker that sets up Lost too, making the inexperienced bottom laner comfortable. Lost took Kai’Sa into the bottom lane in 10 of TSM’s 18 regular season games.

If TSM can perform better in the mid game, they should have no problem winning this series. They had solid early game strategies against Liquid last week, but they fell apart in the transition after the laning phase.

Dignitas +149
100 Thieves -196

The Thieves have not been great over the second half of the Spring Split. They could only go .500 the rest of the way after a 5-1 start, and they were pretty thoroughly trounced in last week’s loss to Liquid. Still, this team is favored after sweeping Dignitas in the regular season.

Top laner Ssumday has not been as sharp as he was in previous seasons. He has a 2.3 KDA and a kill participation percentage of 57.3%. Those are the lowest numbers on the team, and it’s a stark contrast from last year when he was easily the best player on the team.

It will be interesting to see whether Ry0ma or Damonte will be in the mid lane. The team has alternated the two mid laners this year, but they seem more comfortable with the Australian as he has a 5.3 KDA.

Dignitas has the potential to knock off the Thieves over the course of this series. They have a top laner that can outperform Ssumday in the improving FakeGod, and Dardoch has been solid in the jungle. Neo is really coming on strong in the bottom lane with veteran support Aphromoo alongside him.

Follow our Twitter account for the latest sports news and wagering odds, and come to our Instagram for more useful betting info too.

The chalk took care of business in the first round of the 2021 LCS Mid-Season Showdown last week.
