One of the most popular fighters in the UFC will headline this weekend\u2019s main event. Chan Sung Jung earned the moniker \u201cThe Korean Zombie\u201d from his ability to take a lot of punishment and continue to close the distance on his opponents. He is currently the No. 4 ranked featherweight in the world, and he will take on No. 8 ranked featherweight Dan Ige in the main event this Saturday. Heavyweights Aleksei Oleinik and Sergey Spivak will also square off, and we will see a bantamweight bout between Marlon Vera and Davey Grant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
UFC on ESPN: The Korean Zombie vs. Ige will be held at the UFC Apex Training Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, June 26, 2021. The preliminary bouts will start at 4 p.m. ET with the main card slated to get underway at 7 p.m. ET. The entire event will be broadcast on ESPN2 and available through ESPN+.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
UFC on ESPN: The Korean Zombie vs. Ige Betting Odds<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Chan Sung Jung +106<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Dan Ige -126<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Although the Korean Zombie has a higher profile, he is an underdog<\/a> to Dan Ige per the MMA betting odds. Chan Sung Jong has lost three of his last six fights, falling to Jose Aldo, Yair Rodriguez, and Brian Ortega. The fight against Ortega was his first bout to be decided by decision in over a decade, so it\u2019s very likely this main event doesn\u2019t go the distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ige has been on a tear since losing a unanimous decision to Julio Arce at UFC 220. He has won seven of his last eight fights, and his only defeat was a unanimous decision loss to Calvin Kattar. Ige\u2019s only three losses in his career have come by decision, so he will be looking to finish inside the distance too. Betting on Ige is probably the right choice even though he is a little bit shorter with less of a reach than Jung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Aleksei Oleinik +200<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Sergey Spivak -235<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s been an incredible career for Aleksei Oleinik. The soon to be 44-year-old has a 59-15-1 record over nearly 25 years in MMA. He has been a gatekeeper in the heavyweight division for seven years, and he remains a game opponent even though he has never challenged for a title in the UFC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sergey Spivak will look to prove his mettle against Oleinik. Spivak is 12-2 with five wins coming by knockout and six wins coming by submission ahead of this fight. It\u2019s important that he has ground skills since Oleinik has won 46 of his 59 fights by submission, and that will allow him to control the action on his way to a nice win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Davey Grant +172<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Marlon Vera -197<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The last year hasn\u2019t been great to Marlon Vera. He was seen as a title contender until he lost two of his last three fights. Vera dropped unanimous decisions to Song Yadong and Jose Aldo, and he knows he needs to get back on track against up-and-comer Davey Grant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Grant has won three straight fights. He earned Performance of the Night bonuses for his knockouts of Martin Day and Jonathan Martinez over the last year, so his star is on the rise. It was impressive for him to show power too, as he had just one knockout prior to those finishes.
