Much of the early betting favorites for this award happen to follow that exact thing, with all four of the top players suffering terrible season ending injuries. However, they have worked all offseason and have fought their way back onto the football field, where they plan to remind the world how good they are. Let’s jump right into the leading favorite.

Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott was on the verge of an MVP caliber season before a terrible compound fracture in his right ankle sidelined him for the remainder of the year. Despite only playing in five games, he held a 68-completion percentage and was leading the league in passing yards at the time of his injury. Now, he comes back to reclaim the starting quarterback job on a Dallas Cowboys team that was terrible without him. If he is able to lead them into the postseason and post some good numbers along with it, he may run away with this award.

Saquon Barkley

The football world missed out on the electrifying play of Saquon Barkley last season. The 24-year-old ended up tearing his ACL just two games into the 2020 season. Barkley has proven to be one of the best running backs in the league when he is able to avoid any major injuries, as he has rushed for 2,344 yards and 17 touchdowns in just 31 career games. If he is able to step onto the field in Week 1 and carry the New York Giants struggling offense into the playoffs, he will be a great bet to win.

Joe Burrow

Throughout the first half of the 2020 season, there were so many questions about who would win the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award. Had it not been for his season ending ACL injury, Joe Burrow would have certainly been one of the nominations for the award. He was able to step in and give the Cincinnati Bengals a leader unlike any they have had in recent years, having a few phenomenal games and showing that he could run the ball effectively. Burrow should be coming back with some more weapons and a hopefully improved offensive line to help him take this team to another level.

Nick Bosa

Similar to Barkley, many NFL fans completely forgot about the impact Nick Bosa had on the San Francisco 49ers defense. After playing just two games, Bosa ended up tearing his ACL and missed the rest of the season. This was just a year after he was able to win the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award. Bosa now has a ton of time to get his body right and recover from his injury and should make such a huge impact for the 49ers team that struggled all year without him. San Francisco made it to the Super Bowl in 2019, but completely missed the playoffs in 2020. Bosa can come back and turn this team back into the contenders they once were.

Despite the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award being a great honor to a lot of players, chances are…

[129

post-17727","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl
["GET
