He has a lot of experience in Open Championships and has been absolutely stellar lately. Rahm has participated in 18 events throughout 2021 and has 11 top 10 finishes in those events. Rahm is also ranked the number one player in the world heading into this competition, making him a terrific bet to win it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rory McIlroy follows closely behind Rahm as another favorite who can have a big win at the Open. His last five Open appearances have been great, finishing in the top five in four of those. One of which was a first-place finish back in 2014. Despite not picking up a major win since that 2014 competition, McIlroy has the skills to break that streak at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Course<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the first time that Royal St. George\u2019s is hosting the British Open since the year 2011. It will be the 15<sup>th<\/sup> time in total that they are playing host to this prestigious event, with Darren Clarke winning during that 2011 run. The course runs 7,211 yards and holds a par of 70 strokes. Not only does Spieth have experience at the British Open, winning it all back in 2017, but he is also listed at twice the odds of the official favorite despite being wildly talented. The only concern with Spieth would be his last two starts, as he struggled early on before coming out strong. He will need to maintain his focus throughout the entire event here to avoid getting himself into an early hole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Top 5 Prop: Brooks Koepka (+375)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brooks Koepka has been one of the best golfers in the game since 2016. He leads all other competitors in aggregate score with minus 84 in that time span. Not to mention the fact that he is still a four-time major champion with three top 10 finishes during his last four British Open appearances.
