This looked like the worst roster in the NFL in the preseason and Judge somehow got them to six wins, with four of their 10 losses coming by a single score. Just imagine what Judge can do with an actual NFL roster.

We’ll find out, because New York wasted no time getting involved in the free agent market, adding weapons on offense and key players on defense to go with a solid draft class led by Kadarius Toney out of Florida.

With actual NFL players, the pressure falls on Judge to keep the forward momentum going and third-year quarterback Daniel Jones to grow into an NFL starter. This could very well be a make or break season for him. Luckily, they play in the NFC East and a record right over .500 could mean they host a playoff game.

NEW YORK GIANTS

Last season: 6-10, 2nd place, NFC East

2021 odds: over 7 wins -155, under 7 wins +125

2021 NFL Draft: Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida – Round 1, Azeez Ojulari, LB, Georgia – Round 2, Aaron Robinson, CB, UCF – Round 3, Elerson Smith, LB, Northern Iowa – Round 4, Gary Brightwell, RB, Arizona – Round 6, Rodarius Williams, CB, Oklahoma Sate – Round 6

UDFAs: Raymond Johnson III, DE – Georgia Southern, Jake Burton, OT – UCLA, Brett Heggie, C – Florida

Acquisitions: Kyle Rudolph, TE – Free Agent, John Ross, WR – Free Agent, Danny Shelton, DL – Free Agent, Zach Fulton, LG – Free Agent, Adoree’ Jackson, CB – Free Agent, Ryan Anderson, Edge – Free Agent, Mike Glennon, QB – Free Agent, Devontae Booker, RB – Free Agent, Reggie Ragland, LB – Free Agent, Corey Clement, RB – Free Agent, Kenny Golladay, WR – Free Agent, Ifeadi Odenigbo, Edge – Free Agent, Cullen Gillaspia, FB – Free Agent, Josua Kalu, Safety – Free Agent

Key Losses: Kevin Zeitler – RG, Golden Tate – WR, Kyler Fackrell – Edge, Cameron Fleming – RT, David Mayo – LB, Colt McCoy – QB, Nate Ebner – Safety, Dion Lewis – RB, Devonta Freeman – RB, Dalvin Tomlinson – DL, Alfred Morris – RB, Jabaal Sheard – Edge, Ryan Lewis – CB, Adrian Colbert- Safety, Wayne Gallman – RB

PRESUMED STARTERS

QB: Daniel Jones

RB: Saquon Barkley

WR: Kenny Golladay

WR: Sterling Shepard

WR: Darius Slayton

TE: Evan Engram

FB: Elijhaa Penny

LT: Nate Solder

LG: Shane Lemieux

C: Nick Gates

RG: Zach Fulton

RT: Matt Peart

LDE: Dexter Lawrence

NT: Danny Shelton

RDE: Leonard Williams

OLB: Lorenzo Carter

LILB: Reggie Ragland

RILB: Blake Martinez

OLB: Azeez Okulari

CB: James Bradberry

CB: Adoree’ Jackson

SS: Jabril Peppers

FS: Logan Ryan

K: Graham Gano

P: Riley Dixon

FORECAST

The Giants have a downright brutal schedule thanks to their second place finish in 2020. Their 17th game? At the Miami Dolphins who went 10-6. Dak Prescott’s return makes the Dallas Cowboys formidable, even if head coach Mike McCarthy doesn’t.

This is going to be a better team unable to post a significantly better record unless Jones makes some kind of spectacular Josh Allen leap this season.
