The 2021 NFL season is right around the corner and sportsbooks are already coming out with their early odds for all types of categories. Down below, we are going to be over four of the running backs with the best odds at leading the league in rushing yards this upcoming season. We got to see Derrick Henry run away with this award last season and he looks primed to do it again this year. Will he be able to, or will we get to see a different player take the title?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Derrick Henry<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s pretty much unanimous that Derrick Henry leads the current betting odds in this category right now. The workhorse running back was able to rush for over 2,000 yards last season en route to winning the title and looks to do it for the second straight year. The Tennessee Titans offensive line has been great at getting him going, but the addition of Julio Jones to this offense could make defenses think twice about stacking the box on him. Henry is in for yet another monster season and there\u2019s only a few guys in the league that may end up even close to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Christian McCaffrey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The first of those guys is Christian McCaffrey, barring any injuries of course. The Carolina Panthers running back has been tasked with controlling the entire offense in years past, but the first year that he got some more talent he ended up missing 13 games with multiple injuries. This year, he should be back and healthier than ever with a brand-new quarterback in Sam Darnold taking over for Teddy Bridgewater. There are still injury doubts surrounding McCaffrey with it is incredibly likely that the Panthers consistently try to establish the run game this year to get Darnold slowly worked into their offense. It could end up working in his favor and help him have a huge season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dalvin Cook<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The same injury concerns are there for the Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook. Cook has proven that when he is healthy, he can be a dominant force at the running back position. Though injuries have gotten the best of him almost every season that he has been in the NFL which doesn\u2019t bode well for him here in this race. However, if those woes don\u2019t catch up with him again this season he could very well keep up with Henry for that top spot. He has agility and quickness unlike anything we have seen before and consistently makes players miss in open space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nick Chubb<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Nick Chubb has the fourth best odds to win the rushing title this season, but it is going to be incredibly tough for him to do so. For one, he is working as a tandem back this season which is something the other three guys aren\u2019t doing. Chubb and Kareem Hunt are expected to split reps in the backfield once again this season. Although, Chubb has proven that he is always trucking forward and has had a few monster games throughout his NFL career already.
