Sure, the NFC East is still bad, but maybe it’s not as bad as we thought. And that’s a good thing, because with the league needs at least some contender from these teams and their markets. And just as a purist, no one wants to see a losing squad make the playoffs again.

With that in mind, the Philadelphia Eagles have a chance to get back over .500 when they travel to the equally 1-1 Dallas Cowboys for a game that will decide early divisional supremacy.

The rivalry between Philly and Dallas goes all the way back to 1960 when the Cowboys entered the NFL as an expansion team. Dallas leads the all-time series 70-54. They split their games last year, with the Eagles taking game one 23-9 and the Cowboys winning the second contest 37-17.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES AT DALLAS COWBOYS (-3.5, O/U: 52)

Location: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas

Broadcast: ESPN

Kickoff: Sep. 27, 8:15 p.m.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (1-1)

After unleashing 32 points in Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons, the Eagles offense was all but shut down at home against the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday, falling 17-11. Philadelphia’s only touchdown came in the fourth quarter with the game all but over. Jalen Hurts was all the offense for the Eagles, going 12 of 23 for 190 yards passing and rushing for 82 yards and a touchdown. It’s a recipe to win in fantasy football, but not much else.

DALLAS COWBOYS (1-1)

In spite of trying their best to lose, even getting stuck with a five yard delay of game penalty before Greg Zeurlein nailed a 56 yard field goal as time expired, the Cowboys knocked off the Los Angeles Chargers on the road 20-17. Dak Prescott was efficient, but not spectacular, completing 23 of 27 for 237 yards and an interception. Tony Pollard rushed for 109 yards and touchdown and Ezekiel Elliott added 71 yards and a TD.

THE PICK

The Eagles remain the biggest mystery in the sport to me and the first two weeks haven’t solved much of anything. Dallas isn’t, as you’re going to get a Mike McCarthy coached team – they’ll be sloppy, make dumb mistakes, but if he lets his assistant coaches on offense run the show, they can score some points. Hurts is making his case to keep the Philadelphia trade rumors with the Houston Texans at bay. Against a suspect Dallas defense, they should stay that way. Still, I’m liking Dallas at home, but McCarthy will find a way to make me regret it. Cowboys 24, Eagles 20

The NFL season is underway and the Week 3 Schedule is up and taking bets at BetOnline.AG.

Follow our BetOnline Twitter account for the latest sports news and betting odds, and stay tuned on the Instagram feed for more good information too

BY ADAM GREENE At the beginning of the season, this game looked like one you’d just want to sim on…

[129

post-19153","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl
["GET
