Seattle stayed in the game, Geno Smith wasn’t a disaster and while they did lose, they kept the Steelers from covering -5. But, frankly, if you were a Pittsburgh bettor, you had to know when the Seahawks scored on their first two drives of the third quarter, your money was probably gone.

No, our Bad Beat was clear and concise because it was a Christmas Miracle that showed up on Oct. 17 when the Dallas Cowboys knocked off the New England Patriots 35-29.

They can talk about supply line issues impacting the holidays all they want. They can speak of the mail being slow, deliveries taking more time than they should, but if you bet Dallas at -3.5, your gift got here way early, before Halloween and you are lighting up those illegal Cuban cigars your brother in law brought in (hopefully with nothing else) that time he rented a speedboat back in Miami before Florida turned into a Covid-19 zombie apocalypse.

But if you took New England at +3.5, it wasn’t Santa you were seeing early. It was Krampus and he smashed a pumpkin right into your face like he was cleaning five year olds off the court in dodgeball.

You were feeling the Pats, listening to the pro New England talk, about how they were keeping scores close, how Mac Jones was statistically having a solid season and somewhere, in your head, you still thought Bill Belichick, the Super Genius himself, was more than a match for a team head coached by Mike McCarthy, a man who should be the night manager at an Idaho Waffle House.

And those supply line shortages had you thinking, as you placed your wager on Patriots +3.5, that maybe you could do something to mitigate that problem for you; specifically. You remembered the run on toilet paper back when the pandemic first started, how every stooge in your town decided to hit every Supermart in 50 mile radius to buy up all the toilet paper.

While the news has been good on COVID-19, with more people getting vaccinated the numbers trending down, these supply line issues could stir all those idiots up again. Just look at what they did with gas over the summer and that was just because of one ship stuck in the Suez Canal.

You knew exactly what you needed, a Toto Washlet C100 Round Electronic Bidet toilet seat in Cotton White. Let the barbarians battle over the scraps of toilet tissue. You were going European on your backside like you were visiting the South of France.

And when the Patriots went up 14-7, you were feeling great about it. Even better when the Cowboys tossed an interception and then fumbled with a chance to take the lead before halftime. New England was up 14-10 and you started thinking, maybe you were being a little too cheap for yourself. This was not just a luxury, but a bidet could be a necessity. What if, while these normal supply lines were slowed, another ship got stuck in a canal?

Nope. It was time to start dreaming bigger, like the Kohler C3-23 Elongated Electronic Bidet Seat in White.

The teams traded punts to begin the second half before Dallas finally broke through. Dak Prescott shook off his earlier turnover woes and bad luck to orchestrate an eight play, 91 yard scoring drive capped with a one-yard CeeDee Lamb touchdown grab. The Cowboys led 17-14 and you were still ready to feel that European warm rush right where the sun doesn’t shine because that half a point was all you needed.

Dallas added a field goal to pull ahead by four, but you were never really worried. Jones had been dialed in all night and, sure enough, as the fourth quarter began, so did a Patriots scoring drive. Jones carved up Dallas with a 13 play, 6:50 possession that ended with a Rhamondre Stevenson one yard touchcown run with 6:23 to go.

This is where you had Mike McCarthy in your pocket. This is where he was going to pay off for you the same way he keeps all the Dallas area Golden Corrals in business. McCarthy was going to keep playing for a field goal and your spread was safe. Sure enough, eight plays later and with 2:42 to go in the game, Greg Zuerlein lined up for a 51 yard kick. And he missed it. New England still led 21-20 and they would have the ball.

It was time to move on from thinking about a seat replacement unit and instead zero in on an entirely new, modern age toilet apparatus like the Toto Elongated One Piece Toilet with Washlet+ S550e Auto Flush in Cotton White. The future was suddenly now.

Only Jones, who had your back all night, betrayed you, tossing an interception to none other than Trevon Diggs, who promptly returned it for a touchdown and, more importantly, a 26-21 lead that would more than cover for the Cowboys.

There was 2:21 left in the game. Jones had played well, but he hadn’t shown any comeback ability yet. There was no reason to believe he could do it, so you were ecstatic to see him launch a 75 yard touchdown pass to Kenrick Bourne on his first play back to take a 29-26 lead with still more than two minutes to go.

And that Kohler Elongated 0.8 GPF & 1.0 GPF dual flush bidet bowl toilet in white was going to slide right into your bathroom perfectly. The Cowboys tied the game and sent it to overtime with a field goal, but you were golden. When the Pats won the toss, there was no way it could go wrong for you. They’d either win it outright or everyone would play for field goals.

There was only one guy on the field who could mess it up for you and it was Dak Prescott and he did just that, tossing a game ending touchdown to CeeDee Lamb to cover and send you back to the Walmart toiletries aisle with a single pass.

There would be no daily European bathroom experience for you. You were back to paper, like some kind of peasant. Well, as long is it lasts before your neighbors turn your local Aldi into Mad Max Fury Road again.

The NFL season is rolling along and the Week 7 Schedule is up and taking bets at BetOnline.AG.

Follow our BetOnline Twitter account for the latest sports news and betting odds, and stay tuned on the Instagram feed for more good information too

BY ADAM GREENE As I watched the ending of the early games Sunday before Carrie Underwood donned her spare tire…

[129

post-19466","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl
["GET
