MMA fans are geared up for UFC 267 between Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira next week. However, there is an event to whet our appetites this week as Paulo Costa and Marvin Vettori headline the action. Costa and Vettori have both previously challenged for the UFC Middleweight Championship in the past, but this bout will be fought at light heavyweight after Costa was unable to cut enough weight. Vettori will be at a bit of a size disadvantage, but he will receive 20% of Costa\u2019s cut of the purse. The oddsmakers still like his chances too, making him a moderate favorite<\/a> over Costa on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week\u2019s UFC event will take place at the UFC Apex Training Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday, October 23, 2021. The preliminaries will get underway at 1 p.m. ET and the main event will start at 4 p.m. ET with the entire broadcast taking place on ESPN Plus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UFC Fight Night: Costa vs Vettori Parlay Picks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paulo Costa +165 vs. Marvin Vettori<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, Paulo Costa is the No. 2 ranked middleweight contender behind champion Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker. Costa is 13-1 coming into this fight, and the lone loss of his career came at the hands of Adesanya at UFC 253 last September. He was extremely impressive in wins over Uriah Hall and Yoel Romero, and the weight will give him an extra edge this week against Marvin Vettori.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vettori lost to Adesanya at UFC 263 in June. It was his second loss at the hands of Adesanya, and his recent wins haven\u2019t been overwhelmingly impressive. He shouldn\u2019t be this much of a favorite, so there is a good bit of value<\/a> in Costa at this price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grant Dawson -500 vs. Ricky Glenn<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s rare to see someone as this much of a favorite<\/a> in the UFC, but Grant Dawson is the real deal. Dawson has been very impressive with a 17-1 record and has won eight straight fights. He is a submission specialist with 11 wins coming by submission, but he proved he can knock out foes against Leonardo Santos in March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ricky Glenn is a veteran fighter, but he is out of his depth here. He has only fought once since November 2018, and it was clear that his opponent was not up to the task. Three of Glenn\u2019s last five wins came by split decision, so he is far from dominant and is not great on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seung Woo Choi -290 vs. Alex Caceres<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a down start in the UFC, Seung Woo Choi has found his stride. He has won three straight fights, earning Performance of the Night honors during his last bout in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex Caceres has won four straight bouts, but he is 18-12-1 in his MMA career. Caceres is on the downslope of his career, so Seung Woo Choi should be able to pick up the win on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
