The Golden State Warriors are finally the Western Conference favorites after a very strong start to the season, while the Los Angeles Lakers are priced more appropriately after a three-game losing streak dropped this team back under .500. Brooklyn remains the overall favorite although the Nets still don’t have Kyrie Irving.

1. Brooklyn Nets

This Week’s Odds: +275

Last Week’s Odds: +260

Kevin Durant continues to look like one of the NBA MVP frontrunners. Brooklyn has now won five of its last six games with the lone loss coming against Golden State. It’s taken some time for James Harden to adjust to the new rules, but he is starting to get to the free throw line again.

2. Golden State Warriors

This Week’s Odds: +475

Last Week’s Odds: +800

Golden State has the best record in the NBA. The Warriors are 14-2 ahead of Sunday night’s game with the Toronto Raptors, and their only two losses this season are by a combined seven points. Steph Curry continues to bomb away from three, and he should surpass Ray Allen as the all-time leader in three-pointers made in December.

3. Utah Jazz

This Week’s Odds: +800

Last Week’s Odds: +1000

The Jazz are still unbeaten in the Western Conference. However, three of Utah’s six wins in conference play have come against Sacramento. The odds on the Jazz continue to drop, but you can’t back Utah considering their continued postseason woes.

4. Milwaukee Bucks

This Week’s Odds: +900

Last Week’s Odds: +750

The defending NBA champions have now won three games in a row. Milwaukee is playing good defense, and Giannis Antetokuonmpo was incredible on Saturday against Orlando. Antetokuonmpo finished with 32 points and 20 rebounds in a nine-point win over the Magic.

5. Los Angeles Lakers

This Week’s Odds: +950

Last Week’s Odds: +550

LeBron James is finally back in the lineup, and the Los Angeles Lakers might be about to go on a run. They have two games against Sacramento and two games against Detroit before taking on the Clippers in two weeks, so this might be a good time to buy in on the Lakers if you are a believer.

6. Miami Heat

This Week’s Odds: +1200 (No Change)

The Heat are 6-1 at home this season, but they are just 5-5 on the road. Miami has been middling after a strong start to the season going 5-5 over its last 10 games.

7. Phoenix Suns

This Week’s Odds: +1400 (No Change)

Phoenix’s odds to win the NBA Championship should be lower than what we currently see at sportsbooks. The Suns have the second-best record in the NBA, and they were the Western Conference champions last year. They have won 11 straight games, yet their odds have not changed in the slightest.

8. Philadelphia 76ers

This Week’s Odds: +2000 (No Change)

Joel Embiid should be set to return from the COVID list soon, while Ben Simmons is still out. That has left Philadelphia treading water, but this team could emerge as a frontrunner once more in December.

9. Los Angeles Clippers

This Week’s Odds: +2000 (No Change)

It’s been impressive to watch Paul George continue to make the Clippers competitive without Kawhi Leonard. Los Angeles will likely be without Leonard until at least March, so George will be leaned on heavily this season.

10. Denver Nuggets

This Week’s Odds: +2000

Last Week’s Odds: +2200

All three of Denver’s best players are currently banged up. Jamal Murray is rehabbing a torn ACL, Michael Porter Jr. has been out for two weeks with a back injury, and Nikola Jokic is dealing with a wrist injury.

Follow our Twitter account for the latest sports news and wagering odds, and come to our Instagram for more useful betting info too.

We are finally starting to see some real movement among the main title contenders in the NBA.
