Most of last week\u2019s fantasy duds ended up falling flat. Carson Wentz was not impressive despite a dominant Indianapolis win over Buffalo, and Gerald Everett wasn\u2019t very productive in Seattle\u2019s loss to Arizona. Tennessee\u2019s defense allowed 22 points to Houston in an upset loss too (although Ryan Tannehill was a big reason for that). The only player on the list that ended up having a good game was Mike Williams, and he had a solid outing against Pittsburgh\u2019s overmatched secondary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Matt Ryan (QB) \u2013 Atlanta Falcons<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Atlanta has been blown out in each of its last two games. Matt Ryan was electric in a 27-25 win over New Orleans three weeks ago, but he has not looked good the last two weeks. Ryan has thrown for just 268 yards and no touchdowns while tossing four interceptions as Atlanta scored three points combined in those two losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some people are calling for Ryan to have a bounce-back game against Jacksonville<\/a>, but Ryan is no longer putting up the stats that he has for most of his career. He has thrown multiple interceptions while averaging 5.6 YPA or less in three of his last four games, and he has been sacked multiple times in four straight games. Ryan is really missing Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, as his only real options in the passing game now are rookie tight end Kyle Pitts and Cordarrelle Patterson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Saquon Barkley (RB) \u2013 New York Giants<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s been a tough season for Saquon Barkley. The Giants running back has missed several games because of injury, and he has yet to run for more than 57 yards in a game. Barkley is dealing with an ankle injury, and he is unlikely to get the targets out of the backfield he saw last week against Tampa Bay. New offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens was known for airing it out in Cleveland, so that could affect his stat line too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Odell Beckham Jr. (WR) \u2013 Los Angeles Rams<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n At this point in his career, few players are as overrated as Odell Beckham Jr. Beckham has not been a top 25 receiver for the last two years, and he hasn\u2019t been a top ten receiver since 2016. He was targeted early in his Los Angeles Rams\u2019 debut, but Cooper Kupp and Van Jefferson are more established, and Jefferson is more of a deep threat because of his speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tyler Conklin (TE) \u2013 Minnesota Vikings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Minnesota parted ways with Kyle Rudolph in the offseason, allowing Tyler Conklin to emerge as the No. 1 option at tight end for the Vikings. Conklin hasn\u2019t been targeted as much as Rudolph was by Kirk Cousins, and he has just three receptions in each of the last two weeks. San Francisco has fast linebackers that can take away tight ends, so Conklin is unlikely to do much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Atlanta Falcons (D\/ST)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n There will be plenty of fantasy football teams that roll the dice with Atlanta\u2019s defense against Jacksonville. The Jaguars haven\u2019t looked great on offense this season, and rookie Trevor Lawrence hasn\u2019t thrown a touchdown pass for each of the last three games.
