It\u2019s exciting times if you\u2019re a Dallas Cowboys fan as the team travels to New Orleans to take on the Saints at the Caesars Superdome without head coach and professional dead weight Mike McCarthy thanks to an appearance in the NFL\u2019s COVID-19 protocol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While both these teams currently have decent records, they\u2019ve each spent November on a serious downward slide. Dallas has lost three of its last four, with its lone victory coming against the Atlanta Falcons. The Saints have lost four straight, including a 27-25 loss to those same Falcons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the 31st<\/sup> all time meeting between the two franchises with the Cowboys holding a 17-13 advantage. They last met in September, 2019 with New Orleans claiming an epic 12-10 victory that McCarthy was not involved in at all, but Jason Garrett was. Dak Prescott threw for 223 yards and an interception, but Dallas was held to a total of 45 yards on the ground. Teddy Bridgewater tossed 193 yards worth of passes and a pick of his own. Alvin Kamara rushed for 69 yards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dallas spent their Thanksgiving afternoon blowing up every parlay on the planet, losing 36-33 in overtime to the reeling Las Vegas Raiders. Prescott finished 32 of 47 for 375 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. The Cowboys rushed for 64 yards as a team. Michael Gallup caught five passes for 106 yards and Cedric Wilson had seven catches for 107 yards. Dallas\u2019 defense sacked David Carr three times, but surrendered 143 yards on the ground and Carr threw for 373 with a TD and no picks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NEW<\/strong> ORLEANS SAINTS (5-6)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Saints too took some Thanksgiving stuffing to the face in Week 12, not even keeping it close in a 31-6 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Trevor Siemian was good for 17 of 29 passing for 163 yards, one touchdown and an interception. New Orleans rushed for 44 yards as a team and Liljordan Humphrey led the receivers with three catches for 47 yards. The Saints defense sacked Josh Allen twice and intercepted him twice. They also held Buffalo to just 113 yards on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE PICK<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having seen enough of Siemian as his starter, Sean Payton is going with Taysom Hill Thursday night against the Cowboys. Couple that with the absence of McCarthy on Dallas\u2019 sideline and I\u2019ve never felt more confident in \u201cthem boys.\u201d With Dan Quinn taking head coaching duties for the Cowboys and Kellen Moore calling the plays without McCarthy\u2019s input, I don\u2019t expect it to be close. Cowboys 44, Saints 10<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
