There hasn\u2019t been much of a change<\/a> to the NBA Championship betting odds over the last week. Brooklyn and Golden State are still considered the teams to beat with Milwaukee and Phoenix seen as the most likely teams to knock off the favorites. We will start to see trades happening next week, as December 15 is when players can start to be traded up until the deadline of February 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Brooklyn Nets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Week\u2019s Odds: +275 (No Change)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kevin Durant is having an MVP caliber season. Brooklyn is atop the Eastern Conference largely due to his play. James Harden is not playing at his best though, so it\u2019s hard to take the Nets at this price<\/a> as Kyrie Irving continues to sit out for the team. Harden\u2019s advanced metrics are the worst we have seen since he was in Oklahoma City although he is close to averaging a triple double a game with 20.9 PPG, 8.0 RPG, and 9.6 APG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Golden State Warriors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Week\u2019s Odds: +425 (No Change)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the next week or so, Steph Curry will break the NBA all-time record for three pointers in a career. Curry is currently 10 treys away from the mark, and he is a lifetime 43.2% three-point shooter. Even though older players don\u2019t like him or his style, he looks likely<\/a> to win his third NBA MVP at this point, and that would put him in rarified air as only eight other players have three MVPs or more to their credit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Milwaukee Bucks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Week\u2019s Odds: +800<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last Week\u2019s Odds: +750<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bucks have won eight of their last ten games to move within 1.5 games of the Brooklyn Nets for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee fell on the road to Miami on Wednesday night, but the Bucks are playing well with Giannis Antetokuonmpo thriving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Phoenix Suns<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Week\u2019s Odds: +900<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last Week\u2019s Odds: +950<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Phoenix win streak finally came to an end last Friday night in Golden State. The Suns were unable to do with the Warriors\u2019 perimeter shooting, and Golden State was able to beat them on the glass too. Although Phoenix has the second-best record in the NBA, the Suns still have the fourth-best odds<\/a> to win the NBA title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Utah Jazz<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Week\u2019s Odds: +1000<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last Week\u2019s Odds: +950<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Utah has won five straight games after its blowout victory over Minnesota on Wednesday night. The Jazz have an elite playmaker in Donovan Mitchell, but the only other player with a PER over 20 is Rudy Gobert. Jordan Clarkson has not been as great despite being the reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Los Angeles Lakers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Week\u2019s Odds: +1000 (No Change)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lakers are just one game over .500 at this point. They have a negative point differential, and LeBron James is finally showing signs of slowing down at this point in his career. Anthony Davis can\u2019t spread the court in ways teams want big men to spread the court now, so it continues to be wise to stay away from the Lakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Miami Heat<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Week\u2019s Odds: +1400<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last Week\u2019s Odds: +1200<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miami is in a bit of a slump after a strong start to the season. The Heat have lost six of their last 10 games, and that has led to a rise in their betting odds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
