Thank to the NFL pushing games all over the schedule, so I too must adapt my schedule. As such, previews and your regularly scheduled articles will come at oddball times this week. But, luckily, we aren\u2019t expecting any big schedule changes for Christmas, right? Right??<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just two days after Week 15 officially ends, Week 16 begins as the San Francisco 49ers travel to Music City to take on the Tennessee Titans on Sunday Night Football.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While these two teams are in different conferences, it\u2019s a veritable playoff game for both. The Niners currently hold the sixth seed in the NFC, regardless of what happens Tuesday night. The Titans are currently the No. 2 seed in the AFC, but could drop down to a Wild Card with a loss thanks to an Indianapolis Colts team that\u2019s right on their tail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will just be the 15th<\/sup> all time meeting between the two franchises with San Fran holding a 9-5 advantage. They last faced off back in Dec. 2017, with the 49ers taking a 25-23 win in Santa Clara. Jimmy Garoppolo threw for 381 yards and a touchdown. Marquise Goodwin caught 10 passes for 114 yards for the Niners. Marcus Mariota finished with 241 yards and two TDs for Tennessee with DeMarco Murray rushing 18 times for 59 yards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SAN FRANCISCO<\/strong> 49ERS (8-6)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kyle Shanahan knocked off the team he used to call plays for last Sunday as San Francisco clubbed the Atlanta Falcons 31-13. Garoppolo finished 18 of 23 for 235 yards and a touchdown. Jeff Wilson Jr. had 21 rushes for 110 yards and a TD. Deebo Samuel continued his do it all trend, rushing six times for 29 yards and a score and catching four passes for 60 yards. San Francisco\u2019s defense sacked Matt Ryan three times and held the Falcons to just 62 total yards on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TENNESSEE<\/strong> TITANS (9-5)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Titans dropped a road game to the Pittsburgh Steelers, 19-13 Sunday, squandering an opportunity to take over as the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Ryan Tannehill finished 22 of 32 for 153 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. Donta Foreman rushed 22 times for 108 yards. Tennessee\u2019s defense sacked Ben Roethlisberger three times, held Pittsburgh to just 35 total yards rushing and still lost. That\u2019s what losing three fumbles on offense will do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE PICK<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wrote last week that Tennessee\u2019s injuries would finally catch up with them here down the stretch and was proven prophetic. This might be the odd game where neither head coach fully trusts his QB to handle the plan on his own, but Garoppolo has a lot more help, especially at receiver in spite of AJ Brown\u2019s probable return. 49ers 23, Titans 20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
