We saw some wild fluctuations<\/a> in the NFL MVP betting odds after last week\u2019s games. Tom Brady was the odds-on favorite, but now he is behind Aaron Rodgers after Tampa Bay was shut out at home by New Orleans. Non-quarterbacks Jonathan Taylor and Cooper Kupp saw their odds fall as they could record historic seasons too, and this might just be a year where a quarterback isn\u2019t named NFL MVP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Aaron Rodgers\u2019 narrative is overblown. I was wrong in saying that he had little chance to win the award<\/a>, but he shouldn\u2019t be the favorite either as he needs Green Bay to finish with the best record in the NFL to be named MVP. Even then that might not be enough though, as Rodgers upset a lot of media members by misdirecting them about his vaccination status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last Week\u2019s Odds: -215<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GOAT is no longer the favorite to be named NFL MVP. Tom Brady laid an egg against the Saints last week, and he will be without three of his best weapons for this week\u2019s game against Carolina. Chris Godwin is lost for the season with a torn ACL, and Leonard Fournette and Mike Evans won\u2019t see the field this week. Brady could struggle once more, potentially putting himself in a tough situation in terms of this award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was crazy to see Jonathan Taylor at almost 20-1 before last Thursday night\u2019s game against New England. Taylor has been the best running back in the NFL by a huge margin this season, and his odds fell by more than half<\/a> after he iced the Indianapolis Colts\u2019 win over the Patriots with a long touchdown run. Taylor has run for over 1,500 yards and 17 touchdowns, and he has run for a score in 11 straight games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matthew Stafford<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Week\u2019s Odds: +1000 (No Change)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We probably won\u2019t see Matthew Stafford move below 10-1<\/a> to win the NFL MVP. Stafford has been pretty good in his first season with the Los Angeles Rams, but he hasn\u2019t been lights out. Additionally, he has been overshadowed by his top receiver who is suddenly receiving a lot of MVP buzz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last Week\u2019s Odds: +1600<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2018 NFL MVP has helped Kansas City move into the top spot in the AFC once again. Patrick Mahomes is having his worst season since that MVP year though, as he has already set a single-season high for interceptions in a season with 13. There\u2019s almost no chance that Mahomes is named MVP, so don\u2019t waste your money on him despite his odds falling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooper Kupp<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last Week\u2019s Odds: +4000<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooper Kupp has a chance to become the first 2,000-yard receiver in NFL history. Kupp leads the NFL with 122 receptions for 1,625 yards and 14 touchdowns, and he has three more games to potentially break the record. He should break the single-season receptions record currently held by Michael Thomas too, and he needs 28 more catches to set the new mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
