Fresh off an exciting UFC PPV, there is more MMA action at the highest level again this week. This week\u2019s UFC event will headline top light heavyweights Magomed Ankalaev and Thiago Santos. Ankalaev could be in line for a title shot by the end of the year, as he has been one of the most impressive fighters in the promotion. Ranked bantamweights Marlon Moraes and Song Yadong will also enter the Octagon, and some of the down ballot women\u2019s matches are pretty intriguing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ankalaev has won seven straight fights, and he is now 16-1 overall. Nine of his wins have been by knockout and seven have been by decision, so it\u2019s very unlikely that he wins this fight by submission. However, Thiago Santos will not be able to take advantage of Ankalaev on the ground as just one of his 16 wins have come by submission over the course of his long career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Santos is 22-9 overall, but he has lost three of his last four fights. He challenged for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship against Jon Jones just under three years ago, and he lost a split decision to Jon Jones. He has lost two of his last three fights since that point with his only win coming against Johnny Walker by decision. Santos recently turned 38 so stamina is a concern against the young and hungry Ankalaev and plays a factor in the decision to take him as a slight favorite to finish within the distance<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Marlon Moraes +220 vs. Yadong Song<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Yadong Song is a sizeable favorite<\/a> over Marlon Moraes because Moraes has had a rough go of it lately. He has lost four of his last five fights, and his lone win came by split decision against a past-his-prime Jose Aldo. However, Moraes is worth a chance at this price. Song Yadong is still very young, and he is a little raw at 24 years old. He has fought well recently, but he hasn\u2019t taken on a lot of great fighters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Khalil Rountree Jr. +105 vs. Karl Roberson<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s been an up-and-down time for Khalil Rountree Jr. in the UFC. He is 5-5-1 over the last six years in the UFC, but he has shown that he can take down second-tier fighters during his career.
